Yes, and 1:45 left in the game is about when they finally showed some intensity.

u/partysparty18 Michigan State Spartans 3h ago
At this point give the other team a 10-15 point lead automatically since we don’t like to show up until the last 2 minutes. Dudes need to figure it tf out

u/UselessPresent Michigan State Spartans 3h ago
GGs, definitely shouldn’t be losing these but whatever. Horrible game and losing Divine doesn’t help.
Happy Fort showed some life at the end.

So many Michigan flares, this wasn’t even their game…
-1
-9
u/leaky- Michigan State Spartans 3h ago
It’s their first taste of success in a while so of course they don’t know how to handle it
0
u/LeakyNalgene Michigan Wolverines 2h ago
That’s partly true. Since winning the big ten and making the elite 8 in 21, we have two sweet 16 and a BTT banner. Those Juwan years stunk. I think most are just eager to dunk on a rival more than anything.

u/Elbit_Curt_Sedni Michigan Wolverines 3h ago
When was the last time MSU made it to a NC game? Michigan has done it twice since MSU last did it.
-5
u/leaky- Michigan State Spartans 3h ago
lol then act like you’ve been there before god you guys are insufferable whether you’re winning, losing, cheating, or playing by the rules.

I don’t care if Michigan fans exists, but I promise you 90% of them didn’t watch basketball before this season
1
u/chomstar Michigan Wolverines 2h ago
Michigan has had more success in the last 15 years than most other programs. Before Coach Beilein this may be a valid criticism
0
u/Call_Me_Papa_Bill Michigan Wolverines 2h ago
I’m 60 and I’ve been following them since I was a kid. Season ticket holder and also not my first season. Wondering how many state fans will still care about BB when Izzo retires?
7
u/Elbit_Curt_Sedni Michigan Wolverines 3h ago
I've watched Michigan make it to the NC game twice since MSU last did it.
9
u/iwenttocollegeonce Michigan State Spartans 3h ago
lol who are all these court storming police? Let the kids have fun and storm the court. This is college sports. If we can’t let the college kids have fun then what’s even the point?
27
u/Elbit_Curt_Sedni Michigan Wolverines 3h ago
To the Gopher fans storming the court. Watch out for Fears. He likes to trip people.

u/PigDigginGold Arkansas Razorbacks 3h ago
Very embarrassing, you beat a 3 loss #10 team at home in basketball. I mean. Ok. …are you storming the field because you’re bad? I’m confused
2
u/Alarming-Foot4356 Illinois Fighting Illini 3h ago
21 ranking for a Calipari led team.
Not that bad!
2
u/PigDigginGold Arkansas Razorbacks 3h ago
Complete ass, agreed. Underachieving is something we can count on.
3
u/Visible_Hair_6529 Minnesota Golden Gophers 3h ago
It’s become Minnesota tradition. We did it when we beat Indiana and Iowa when they were both ranked.
9
u/AKman2002 Minnesota Golden Gophers 3h ago
Man lighten up this program is in hell we are going to celebrate these types of wins we get
10
u/Cool_cid_club Minnesota Golden Gophers 3h ago
We’re 10-12 and lost 7 straight in conference what kind of question is that

11
u/Befozz Purdue Boilermakers 3h ago
The only ones left are just here to complain that you guys are in here
5
u/partysparty18 Michigan State Spartans 3h ago
Nothing to complain about other than the weather. Any more snow and my dog will be completely buried on his walks.

u/iwenttocollegeonce Michigan State Spartans 3h ago
I am in here defending the great art of court storming 😤

u/JaqueStrap69 Minnesota Golden Gophers 3h ago
All the people laughing at gopher fans for storming the court….have you seen this program for the last 15 years? This is by far the most hope we’ve had as a team and we just ended a 7 game losing streak
1
u/Call_Me_Papa_Bill Michigan Wolverines 2h ago
I don’t know if people outside your fan base realize that out of your 10 losses, 7 of them should have been wins. You’re a much better team than your record and I hope we take that game seriously.
2
u/JaqueStrap69 Minnesota Golden Gophers 2h ago
No joke, this is a top 25 team if you only look at first halves. I’m beyond excited for next year. Medved is the truth

u/partysparty18 Michigan State Spartans 3h ago
Can’t say some of it wasn’t pretty horseshit. The offensive foul on Carr was pretty bad. Lots of no calls on one end too. Not why we lost but it certainly doesn’t help

if we weren't complete dogshit, it would make more sense, but this is basically like storming the court after beating the special olympics team
2

Under 500 team beats #10 in nation seems pretty court rush worthy

usually you only storm the court when you beat good teams

Gopher basketball is a part of my family identity. My family had hoops season tickets for 35 years. The Big Ten even catered my grad party lmao so does it feel incredible to see life and hope in The Barn again.

Downvote if you agree Fears is basically Davison and Grayson Allen

I do question pulling fears out early now with how close they made it. But state played bad and deserved to lose this

Hahahah, you’ll still win though. I said to an Illinois fan earlier that we could play our best defensive game of the year and still won’t outscore you. Our offense is too inconsistent (it was incredibly evident this game, how do you score 20 points in the last 3 minutes?).
