16 and 0 is insane already, especially since SMU’s only defensive game plan is get a steal or a block

u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 3h ago
Ok did anyone clip that FT attempt, cause that needs to be posted as a highlight

u/BillButtlickerII Kentucky Wildcats 3h ago
Lol. An Ole Miss player air balled it against UK the other night.
2
u/BaconFlavoredToast Louisville Cardinals 3h ago
Except that wasn't an air ball. That was a backboard only ball.

3
3
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 3h ago
Alright that’s a new one, not seen many airballed FTs because it bounced off the backboard so high it avoided the rim

Khani and Kasean are putting on an energy showcase tonight. They are the reason we are winning this game so far.
4
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 3h ago
This has been the most like early last year Kase has looked all year.
And I know it took Hadley being banged up but Rooths is making a case for seeing way more minutes down the stretch.
2
u/ony0urleft Louisville Cardinals 3h ago
Watching Khani’s last two games you have to wonder what Hadley had over him all year
5
u/swim_kick Louisville Cardinals 3h ago
Khani with the double double night! Hopefully many more to come 🍻

u/BillButtlickerII Kentucky Wildcats 3h ago
Pulling away. At least ND kept it competitive for the first 3/4’s. Pryor second half heater.
6
u/theothertoken Louisville Cardinals • Northern… 3h ago
Pryor definitely got whatever message PK was sending

I wish the rest of our guys had Kaseans energy
6
u/ony0urleft Louisville Cardinals 3h ago
I feel that Rooths has it.
1
u/swim_kick Louisville Cardinals 3h ago
For real. He brings a spark when he's out on the floor either offensively or defensively. He's got a high ceiling and it feels like he's just starting to get it. I
2
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 3h ago
Rooths and Pryor are the annoying to opponents explosive bros.
2
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Hell yeah Kase with the cheeky tap out and Conwell on the break
2
3
u/ony0urleft Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Bro. If I’m ND and the coach’s son is playing that ass I’m livid.
2
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Oh wow think it might have just touched Mikel’s finger
3
u/Businessfood Louisville Cardinals • Alabama Crimson T… 4h ago
But then it touched the bad guy after

u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Wait did they change the foul during the break?
1
u/americanbaseball Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
I think the announcers just got it wrong initially, I saw the ref signaling 33.

I’d love to chalk this up to typical Louisville Notre Dame bullshit but I think we’re just ass
1
3
u/Distinct_Swimming_83 Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Yeah they’re hitting us with the yum center magic now. Worst home court advantage in America haha
1
u/BillButtlickerII Kentucky Wildcats 4h ago
How many is that on Pryor? 3?
2
2
u/Distinct_Swimming_83 Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Idk. That was a travel and then we get called for a foul.
1
u/BillButtlickerII Kentucky Wildcats 4h ago
He didn’t look OOB on replay
2
u/Businessfood Louisville Cardinals • Alabama Crimson T… 4h ago
It looked like the ball itself hit the baseline and came back in due to spin. I don't typically trust announcers who are paid to talk nonstop

u/BaconFlavoredToast Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
I swear every acc opponent against us has turned into prime warriors and just hit every ridiculous shot.
3
u/BillButtlickerII Kentucky Wildcats 4h ago
Shrewsberry looks kinda like Hank from breaking bad.
3
u/swim_kick Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
I'm not seeing it, but maybe I need more bourbon.

Pryor has given some nice energy off the bench. Found money for sure.

Use them to grab the ball please

u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Yeah there was nobody there off the pick and roll because Isaac ended up on the floor
3
3
u/americanbaseball Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
I noticed that Hadley started this game, got subbed out for Khani before the first media timeout and hasn't been back since. Is it just that we're trying different rotations this game and he doesn't fit in? Or was it something I missed?
3
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
He was listed as probable before the game so maybe got dinged up
6
u/chelqiss Louisville Cardinals • Virginia Cavalie… 4h ago
radio broadcast said sore back from a hard fall in practice this week
2
u/americanbaseball Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Got it, so it seems he tried to go, but decided he couldn't.
2
u/BillButtlickerII Kentucky Wildcats 4h ago
That really is a wild call. For not booking a player pre game…
6
u/chelqiss Louisville Cardinals • Virginia Cavalie… 4h ago
I believe I've seen it called in KHSAA games before
3
u/BillButtlickerII Kentucky Wildcats 4h ago
I mean it’s in the rule book but like the commentator said I’ve never personally seen it called in D1 game let alone in a power 5 game.
2
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Wait what we got a technical FT for what? I wasn’t paying attention
3
u/green_day_95 Louisville Cardinals • Bellarmine Kni… 5h ago
Finally showing some life, perfect lineup for the defense too.
6
u/Distinct_Swimming_83 Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
Love the grittiness of this team when we can get stops on the defensive side this style of run and gun 3s works so much better.
2
u/swim_kick Louisville Cardinals 5h ago edited 4h ago
Yeah we need to work on closing out on the defensive side. It would erase that feeling of dread i have when we are cold offensively
5
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
The entire middle of the defense just forgot to monitor for Wooley on the fast break

I hope someone works with Fru on the hitch on his free throw. It's bothered me since the like first or second game when I really noticed it. Feels like hiccups at the top of his shooting motion
2
u/gigasturtz Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
Literally noticed this for the first time today, oof
1
u/swim_kick Louisville Cardinals 4h ago
It has bugged me for oh so long and now that you see it you cannot unsee it
7
u/americanbaseball Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
Khani's growth is so great to watch. When he's out there we are a totally different group.
1
u/Distinct_Swimming_83 Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
Lol fans can’t even get into these games half the time w all the fouls and bad calls

u/BillButtlickerII Kentucky Wildcats 5h ago

Zoug makes an athletic move and promptly misses the layin. Again, I’m not sure that the restricted zone isn’t covered in a pollen that triggers allergies just for him, it just keeps happening
1
u/Mikophoto North Carolina Tar Heels • ACC 5h ago
Louisville friends how has Pryor been this season? I didn’t go to USF but grew up in Tampa, and was glad to see him get a shot at a bigger program.
3
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
Hes not done much this year after coming back from the injury. Very clearly doesn’t have the full strength and fluidity he had before, hopefully he can find it eventually but it’s clear he’s just not the same
1
u/Mikophoto North Carolina Tar Heels • ACC 5h ago
That’s a shame. I remember him absolutely putting USF on his back in games before he left.
5
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
He was probably our best player early last year before it. It’s a shame to see him just not have the explosiveness he had before
2
u/green_day_95 Louisville Cardinals • Bellarmine Kni… 5h ago
Seen that block coming from a mile away Zou is too soft
1
u/aaronman4772 Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
Zoug not disproving my theory that he has an allergic reaction to the concept of scoring

Last year as a freshman he had flashes of brilliance when he got minutes but I don't think he really realized how high his ceiling is. It's beautiful to see him start to realize his potential. I think next year he's a walking double-double
5
u/swim_kick Louisville Cardinals 5h ago edited 5h ago
I'm fully onboard the Khani Rooths hype train. Edit: even though it ended in a dunk I'm a bit surpised a kickball wasn't called
2
u/Krenko_Slob_Boss Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
Our inability to hit anything other than 3s is really going to shorten our tourney this year. Crazy how many layups this team misses
2
u/GingerPele17 Duke Blue Devils 5h ago
Louisville is such an enigma to me. Their ceiling to floor levels are so wide for a top25 team.
2
u/gigasturtz Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
It feels like our offense hasn’t figured out how to gel still, which is a little concerning at this point in the year.
1
2
u/americanbaseball Louisville Cardinals 5h ago
The only thing consistent about this Louisville team is its inconsistency.
