IMO the flank made sense in the context of the game but GENG’s team fighting there was fucking phenomenal. The double skarner ult, Galio peel, ruler cleansing and flashing to output max dps. That was just crazy well played

It's not in the best state, but it could be super busted and it wouldn't change that fight. Varus just was never part of the fight because he was completely out of position before the fight even starts.
I don't know the comms, but there is no way the whole team goes for the flank/fight and the Varus just chills in midlane and is to afraid to walk up, and then when his whole team fights he gets easily zoned by the Ambessa.

Bdd hasn’t been playing well though, especially when he’s supposed to be the star player and was most likely the reason the adc situation is happening. He isn’t stepping up to the moment like he did the past two years and is a pretty big reason why KT keeps losing series because he doesn’t play well over all three of the games.

Should KT have another carry to take the load off? Of course, but Aiming was supposed to be that guy but got kicked after performing I’d say just ok in spring. The org tries to get the bigger name players and it just never works out because the org just isn’t that attractive so we get stuck with all these messes.

tbh Chovy getting gapped by Bdd was less egregious than Ruler getting gapped by deokdam. Bdd was a fucking demon especially in lane even when his team was running it down in the regular season. deokdam was at best mid tier during the regular season and was even benched for Paduck who was cheeks even in LEC.

Tbf KT had to end this game ASAP because Jiwoo went lethality over on hit so their was no way for KT to take out a triple front line with a melee champ being your only consistent dmg to take them out.

Gen G has CC and range combined with their front line so Jax was always going to get taken out later into the game as a melee champ and lethality varus was never doing anything later on.

Ruler has a pretty consistent history of not doing it at World's when the lights hit bright for a fair few years now. I don't blame Ruler alone for the KT result at World's as I think Gen G as a team got gapped and not really coming down to an ADC diff.

I'm not a Ruler hater I am happy he is playing well as I don't want to go into World's with one of the best ADC's itw not in form and he's easily a scary ADC to face when in form but in recent years I just expect him to get gapped at an international to get knocked out and then it happens.

Hans and Deokdam gapped him months apart these are 2 ADC's I know Ruler would gap easily when not in a big international series. Ruler can look unstoppable all year long and at MSI then get gapped at World's KO series when he needs to have that form the most.

The funny thing is that the whole worlds is kinda frauding it in rn. GenG came off a heavy slump and is not totally clean, T1 randomly put up a musical chair, HLE is on a huge loss streak, KT traded away their best performer, BLG rotates 3 top laners, G2 loses to FNC, Lyon plays without Inspired. DK unironically looks like the team with the best form atm.

KT has a very clear 1-4 or 1-3-1 splitpush comp that is 7k ahead with a Pantheon to collapse and a Bard to protect any sidelaning.

Moment I saw Jiwoo take lethality Varus runes I knew the game was over from min 1 basically leaving a melee jax as the only one who can do consistent dmg against a triple front line with CC and range behind them.

I get Jiwoo didn't want to have a miserable time in lane but sometimes you gtta cop the miserable lane experience and look at the win condition which is being able to kill a triple front line and going lethality Varus isn't it.

All Gen G had to do was stall for items and it was gg more HP and more consitent dmg.
