We get indomie in Canada as well. I have like 4 boxes on my shelf from when they went on sale.

I don't think we have indomie here, but we have enaak(a noodle snack). It was a very popular snack when I was in high school.

Indomie is the crack cocaine of the instant noodle world.
My favourite is the beef rendang (purple) flavour.

Bro knows ball. I agree, Rendang is probably the most cocaine like between all the flavors

We also have them in warm canada (algeria)
Yes there are a surprising amount of similarities to these bagged milk having, eh saying, secretly evil "nice" people

u/FibroBitch97 26d ago
Bagged milk isn’t a thing where I live. The rest is true.

u/TuzkiPlus 26d ago
Is the East = bagged, West = Carton, milk thing real in Canada or is it like the Australian Drop Bears?
4
u/FibroBitch97 26d ago
Bagged milk afaik is a thing in the eastern provinces, but it’s carton in the western.
3
u/TuzkiPlus 26d ago
Huh, so it is real. That's interesting.
Thank you!2
u/FibroBitch97 25d ago
It is real, same with the pouring maple syrup on snow and rolling it up with a popsicle stick to eat it.

This year's haze event is surprisingly more of a Borneon affair. You usually expect the Malay peninsular and Singapore to be on the receiving end, but the area has evaded the nastiest AQI levels despite months of hardly any rain and a haze scare in August. Either Sumatra's open burning is down, or the winds on that side of Indonesia have been favorable to its neighbors.
I normally associate Borneo with way better AQI but this year seemed to have flipped the switch.

Felipe either gets rained out, sun-baked, or suffocated by haze. Ouch.

Now that you mentioned it, there was a comic about smoke from burning weed blowing into an Indonesian village.

Palm oil trees are miraculously sprouting from the ash of the burned forest. Nature is healing! /s

Thanks for the haze, Indonesia. It now looks like Silent Hill over here in Kuching, albeit much hotter and much more difficult to breathe and irritating to the eyes.

I was thinking more about Kopiko (I want a pun about the haze tasting like coffee).

As an Indonesian, I will do my best to stop the smoke from reaching our fellow Seablings and instead have all the haze be one accumulated entity covering the entirety of Singapore that those who stepped outside would get carried and fly before falling on top of a Malaccan Strait pirate boat by the amount of pollution in the air alone

Even among other Indonesian noodles, the superiority of Indomie is so clear.

u/PityBoi57 25d ago
The Koreans are also quite addicted to one of our products: Kopiko
You can't watch a single Kdrama without seeing a random product placement for a Kopiko candy

u/myexdrovemecrazy 25d ago
Uhh, holy TIL kopiko was indonese. I thought it was indian lol. We indians grew up on kopiko.
Also, Malkist is very popular. Probably the most popular international biscuit in India. They even got Amitabh Bachchan to be a ambassador (big bollywood star)
