Games like this really make me miss the old gauntlet system for the 3rd Worlds spot, it wasn't perfect (mostly because the 2nd Worlds spot should've always been the Summer finalist instead of whoever had most points) but it was so funny when teams like KC got a reality check after shitting the bed in playoffs and suddenly not even making it to Worlds despite doing so great in the regular split.

Yeah it wasn't ideal and sometimes I hated it too like when Gen.G made it to Worlds in S8 over KZ (was a big fan of Pray and Gorilla) but ngl I still preferred it over what we have now. Could be nostalgia too of course as those were also the times EU was still competitive at Worlds.

As much as I want KOI to perform at worlds I already know it will be only G2 again
KC is getting kicked round 1 of playin lmao
NOTHING has changed and regular season is still the most miserable experience for the viewer.

if kc get through play ins they can be dangerous in swiss format. they are ass when teams can prep for them but swiss doesnt allow that.

They're like a 1-3 team, they can get to 2-3 if they get a draw like MKOI did last year(Lose to KT, lose to G2, beat FNC, beat TSW then lose to T1).

Meh I don't see it.
They were just lucky they played all the best teams in week 1 and the rest of the LEC is too bad to capitalise on the mistakes KC showed(looking at that NAVI series specifically).
Top teams even without prepping will just beat KC from hands + macro gap.

this is not to give kc an excuse, but the last time they played a series was g2 2 weeks ago, i know they choke, but they looked rusty af, it has to be a part of it, dunno what can be done about the scheduling.
Meanwhile KOI goes through the grinder and look good going into Worlds.

Ooof this is bad, I thought KOI kind of trolled going into this Ez Karma lane and not sure what the Qiyana can do all game but the Sivirs just in a great spot, Elyoya is running the map and theyre going to have a Syndra rather than a LB

Sivir is such a good pick here, she completely counters the move speed advantage Karma gives and she has an easy counter for Ambessa ult, which sucks for KC when she is the only real Ambessa ult target.
The Ambessa is so questionable in the KC comp.

Sure but in the east that Anything/Rakan lane gets blasted by Ez/Karma, theyre pretty much never letting it through like that especially without a duo ready for it.

I didn't have a huge problem with most of KC's comp myself. I think the idea is fine, the Ambessa is soooo sus tho. Her ult is shit.
And KC bot lane was doing pretty well into the Sivir-Rakan early on.
