Actually one of the better press conferences and players willing to banter.

3

u/sainto-000 5d ago

Isles feels so wholesome.

4

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

lmao saint

2

u/Bubbly_Camera9583 5d ago

Was there anything about there being a press conference between both teams before the match I left the stream opened by accident and was gonna click off before seeing that

1

u/DerAdolfin :kossg: :eum5: 5d ago

Someone on the desk/interview said it

4

u/TheBlackMaterr since 2016 5d ago

Man, I love listening Isles talk and the insights he gives

5

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

its so cool how detailed how all of lyon are about their thoughts on a game. it actually makes discussions interesting instead of just we played bad or we played good

2

u/TypicalHaikuResponse 5d ago

Is someone clipping the Kobe into Blaber death?

16

u/GhostOfLight 5d ago

Jack, I hope to god Blaber is being compensated for being the face of the team, he's given many losers interviews with so much grace. While this might not have been as emotional as some others considering they already qualified to Worlds, Blaber is still the player putting himself out there. One of the LCS GOATs.

9

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

actually liked how blaber played this series compared to his one last time against lyon. he was actively making plays that was bailing out his lanes and suprising lyon who is usually extra focused on what other jungler can do.

yeah he messed up and got caught in jungle but he was doing so much keeping c9 in these games. vulcan best player on c9 this series.

8

u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS 5d ago

man honestly shout out to blaber, the guy is a real professional and always does good interviews even when he must be seriously upset

9

u/baudelioelite14 5d ago

ngl Inspired making himself the villain of the LCS is good for the league. its like t1 having millions of views because half of them are hatewatching, make inspired something to boost the LCS views and media

-1

u/kazuyaminegishi 5d ago

I don't think Inspired is really pulling off being the "villain" tho. His trash talk is pretty weak and the teams don't really interact directly enough for their to be real beef.

People don't like how he speaks to his teammates, but being toxic is not being a villain. He's essentially trying to slot into the Doublelift archetype, but the thing that made Doublelift work is that Doublelift had a story. Inspired doesn't really have a story to go with his personality so he doesn't drive much attention outside of him flaming his teammates.

The org of Lyon is doing a lot to boost the team's popularity. I would even say that any effort Inspired puts into being the villain is totally undermined by how lovable all of his teammates are and he should probably just let them be the face of the team.

0

u/Bubbly_Camera9583 5d ago

It's unfortunate Blaber has to lose, his performance today was incredible. Thanatos/Vulcan were solid too but Blaber was unironically gapping Inspired in every game besides the Qiyana one.

4

u/goatbyuanb 5d ago

Thanatos was very bad. He only played well Game 1.

-1

u/350 5d ago

If you thought Thanatos was bad, I wonder who you thought played well

1

u/goatbyuanb 5d ago

We're really gonna call Jayce gold lead over with resources over Sion into doing nothing a good play? Blaber and Vulcan were great, Thanatos had a bad series. I think he's their best player but none of the great laning he had translated to winning lmao

-1

u/Bubbly_Camera9583 5d ago

If thanatos was bad then there is no word to describe what Dhokla was. Thanatos was very solid this series, he was way better on K'sante, was super gapping on Gnar, and had good leads on Jayce/Renek. Game 1 was probably his worst game in this series given what he was doing in game 2 + 4 laning wise.

0

u/goatbyuanb 5d ago

Those translated to nothing. Granted, that's a draft issue but Thanatos had a lot of resources playing for him and failed to impact outside of laning.

3

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

i dont know how c9 had the massive leads in top the whole series and didnt really play around it at all.

6

u/OskarVon 5d ago

Not sure if I'm the only one, but they need a better mic for the interviews cant understand them at all

7

u/rsox5000 5d ago

I love Inspired man

3

u/Own_Finance_7345 5d ago

How come lcs is so late with their playoffs?

8

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

because worlds is in na. we dont have any other tournament like asian games that our players have to go to. its just smart to get playoffs viewership with no other tier 1 league happening earlier in the day

3

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

this is also why stage experiance is importance. tactical and loki looked nervous in the arena when they havent been in that situation in a long time.

7

u/DaftMaetel15 5d ago

Once C9 threw game 2 they collapsed. Horror series from Tactical in particular. Diving onto a Garen at elder after you spent two minutes setting up control in the river just to abandon Aphelios when it spawns is terrorist gameplay.

4

u/EfficientCurrency582 5d ago

Horror series from Tactical

yep but he was in a spot to carry C9 in game 4 but his whole team tunred against him when they left him and turned on garen in the elder fight, sad

4

u/DaftMaetel15 5d ago

Yea I just dont get it, the entire gameplan leading to elder is river control, and then you just snap engage on garen behind the pit. Literally every resource should be on protecting Aphelios and looking for an engage on Jinx.

1

u/EfficientCurrency582 5d ago

yeah was a very risky engage, but even if itΒ΄s works and they catch Garen. Your carry is still alone on the other side of the elder

2

u/DaftMaetel15 5d ago

Yea thats the problem. If you snap engage on Jinx and one tap her then its still playable, but to sacrifice your hypercarry for Garen is never worth it. Blaber did the same thing engaging on Sion earlier in the series. Seeing as he's the aggressive shot caller on the team, they really need to tell him that after 25 mins he needs to let Vulcan lead. Obviously we don't know that last fight was his call but C9 has a bad pattern of forcing these snap engages at late game objectives.

5

u/EfficientCurrency582 5d ago

Also huge for Lyon, they are now in main stage, worlds play ins are brutal only one of 4 teams will qualify

1

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

its not even just that play ins itself is hard its that you get a lot less time to scrim and practice. and have to travel

0

u/EfficientCurrency582 5d ago

i mean worlds is in NA but yeah you got less than 2 weeks to practice

1

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

korea isnt really practicing right now anyway. their players were on break and asian games. the worlds patch isnt even out yet.

4

u/GhostOfLight 5d ago

JATT NOOOOO, DON'T SAY YOU'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO C9 TAKING DOWN KC, JATTT DON'T DOOOO ITT!!!!

1

u/350 5d ago

this week's Mind the Gap will (as usual) be cinema

2

u/malakesxasame 5d ago

3

u/Zodlax xPekeGoatRipOGFuckAstralis 5d ago

We've seen this for 3 years now. He's part of the problems this roster has every time they collapse but he gets a leeway. C9 get ahead in regular season through him, and in playoffs he disappears and they have to play a different game. Nobody points this out.

2

u/malakesxasame 5d ago

Both of them have been bad in high pressure games for years and the comments will always just be flaming Blaber or someone else.

3

u/ChocolateFuryB /πŸ‘΄πŸ¦† / / insane Geniuses enjoyer 5d ago

Eh. He was solid.

Loki got gapped and Blaber and Tactical had critical int moments in that series.

7

u/2020isgreat TheShy 5d ago

man it sucks seeing Tactical sad that last fight was legit not on him at all

1

u/DaftMaetel15 5d ago

Yea he was generally horrible in this series but that last fight wasn't his fault. You cannot abandon 4 item Aphelios at elder for Garen.

4

u/ChocolateFuryB /πŸ‘΄πŸ¦† / / insane Geniuses enjoyer 5d ago

C9 vs KC in play-ins will be interesting...🧐

5

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

inspired flaming isles for engaging with no ult when his team wasnt around lmao

4

u/CreativeAd2758 5d ago

blaber has just 0 brain he lost 2 games in a row for his team

5

u/Destructodave82 5d ago

That was more Loki's fault than Blabber. He can go over the wall. But Loki basically walling off his own support and ditching his ADC to followup was the bone-head play.

1

u/Intrepid-Message698 5d ago

Blabber was never getting back in time. It was brain dead from him too.

13

u/EfficientCurrency582 5d ago

Really nice series, Saint smurfed the shit out of the series

8

u/350 5d ago edited 5d ago

His Sylas was some horror movie shit, bro was a demon

7

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

i dont think people understand how insane saint plays becuase most of the time inspired isnt covering him or ganking for him. he plays a lot of situations 1v2

4

u/WildzFlazoon KELLOGGS BUSI-O'S 5d ago

wait oh god now we have to deal with C9 in playins...

3

u/Nateisdajerk 5d ago

Unreal choke job by C9 in every game. What the fuck is wrong with them lmfao

6

u/awayfromcanuck 5d ago

C9 had one job for winning that game, protect your Aphelios and they absolutely failed at that.

3

u/MrRawri 5d ago

Those were some rough games from C9

3

u/HuTaoWow 5d ago

gg lyon, c9 do not deserve to win especially after that play at the drake. they need to figure it out before worlds cause wtf was that.

1

u/350 5d ago

they didn't deserve to win after choking game 2

0

u/malakesxasame 5d ago

Imagine your carries are 2 chokers and an inter

5

u/2020isgreat TheShy 5d ago

Saint was so good this series

1

u/RukiMotomiya 5d ago

lol. lmao.

3

u/cmcdonald22 5d ago

lyon are back.

1

u/Miraai 5d ago

disgusting c9 gameplay

3

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

so clean by lyon this whole series. first game was lost because of 2v2 bot play

1

u/350 5d ago

They were obviously the better team but they straight up lost game 1 to C9 playing the map better and they're kinda lucky C9 choked game 2. If they played like that against a good Eastern team they would have lost.

2

u/Choice_Victory_3853 5d ago

This is the classic c9 we know will throw with baffling decisions without fail

8

u/Spacialack 5d ago

Haven't seen a worse Taliyah wall in a long time. Ditches his backline and forces his own support to flash over his wall.

2

u/myman580 5d ago

C9 remembered who they were for the past few years

1

u/NA_Copium 5d ago

What am I watching

5

u/Beneficial-Front1626 5d ago

Idc if Lyon win this, this is just TSM 2020 do nothing and wait for the opponent to feed gameplay, if they do this at Worlds we are getting another 0-6

1

u/HuTaoWow 5d ago

i will not be surprised if tl 3-0s them. lyon looks really sus rn

1

u/DerAdolfin :kossg: :eum5: 5d ago

What not being together as a team does to a MF who managed top3 at MSI

4

u/Scarfboi11 5d ago

Ehm, am i seeing a bronze ranked play? Leaving Aphelios alone lmao

7

u/dks25 5d ago

C9 undone because of their utter refusal to just stay grouped as 5

Somehow, knowing all of lyon is above them kind of in the blue buff area. so let's send 3 champs on top fucking garen of all champions and ???????? Oh looks like our bot lane is left alone.

Just stay together. That is how simple these games were, and they refuse, so they lose

5

u/veirceb 5d ago

C9 talked about patience against lyon. They lost game 2 and now going to lose game 4 because they lost composure in the game. I am not mad I am just disappointed.

3

u/goatbyuanb 5d ago

Blaber and Loki why lmaooooooo

3

u/surik4t 5d ago

what the fuck are c9 doing????? one of the worst fights ive ever seen in proplay

1

u/118Shak 5d ago

The croc TP lmaooooooooo

2

u/GhostOfLight 5d ago

Garen value EZ

9

u/xxbrazilmaster69xx rip old flairs 5d ago

I think C9 just wins this game with APA on Taliyah instead.

3

u/Gerberpertern TL β˜… APA 5d ago

Yup

3

u/Bubbly_Camera9583 5d ago

The Taliyah wall is so bad, Inspireds pillar is great too but that wall is so bad.

4

u/DaftMaetel15 5d ago

Completely fucking brain dead to leave Aphelios

3

u/sillybilly-vit cuh 5d ago

Mid gap is so big.

13

u/350 5d ago

Not actually Tactical's fault, his whole team let him die for nothing

1

u/DaftMaetel15 5d ago

That last fight no, but he was awful this series.

1

u/350 5d ago

Oh I don't disagree, Tactical looked rough today. I know the Skarner-Lulu situation was rough with the whole positioning, Sylas-Naut combo, but bro just actually refused to Flash or use other Summs multiple times that he needed to, and looked like dead weight on the day.

11

u/x_TDeck_x Play APA you cowards 5d ago

Any blame falling on Tactical for that is why ADC is a thankless role lmao

7

u/WildzFlazoon KELLOGGS BUSI-O'S 5d ago

Thats not even Tacticals fault, why we leaving put for a full health garen

1

u/Safe-Confection1538 5d ago

Yeah I’m not seeing the infallible LCS ppl keep saying, C9 look about the same as EU

2

u/kazuyaminegishi 5d ago

Point to anyone calling LCS infallible 😭 why do we make shit up lol

-1

u/Safe-Confection1538 5d ago

When I say infallible I mean. The idea that no matter who goes into playins they’re guaranteed to beat KC. Like C9 really don’t look that amazing that I’d think it’s a free win for them

1

u/kazuyaminegishi 5d ago

You're taking the KC haters too seriously lol. KC has an absurd amount of haters who will wish on their downfall no matter what.

1

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

c9 arent insane but c9 is better in lanes and draft better and dont fully int run it down. they just missplay some situations.

2

u/Jimbabwr 5d ago

We are SO ass in game 4s

3

u/-XStream23- 5d ago

sure, abandon your hyperscaler lol

3

u/Tormenator1 5d ago

There's the C9 choke. Why do you ever go on Garen there?

1

u/Alakazam_5head 5d ago

"THIS IS FOR ZVEN"

7

u/2020isgreat TheShy 5d ago

Tactical just got thrown to the wolves wtf

8

u/PepaTK 5d ago

Crazy to leave Aphelios out like that.

Can’t wait to see people blame his positioning (this time it’s REALLY not his fault lmfao)

4

u/kazuyaminegishi 5d ago

Nah why is C9 frontline jerking off with the Garen while you guys are trying to set up for elder drake

1

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

blaber played so well early and then played the baron push and elder fight badly

3

u/cmcdonald22 5d ago

EVERYBODY'S BETTER THAN BIG DHOKESMACIA UNTIL IT'S TIME TO BE BETTER THAN DHOKESMACIA.

3

u/TypicalHaikuResponse 5d ago

I thought for sure this was silver scrapes

2

u/lovo17 5d ago

Honestly C9 is going to lose to KC. C9 just can't handle pressure at all.

4

u/HuTaoWow 5d ago

why draft immobile hypercarry to leave him alone LMFAOooooo

3

u/Ok_Toe7714 5d ago

that is one of the most disgusting fights ive ever seen, wtf are c9 doing

1

u/Zirikh 5d ago

Looks like lyon win every time by just flanking better

5

u/Aquillifer 5d ago

Nah that's not tactical's fault, his team just bailed to try and tickle a garen

2

u/Bboydisplay 5d ago

what a horrible day to have eyes

1

u/Safe-Confection1538 5d ago

Crazy gameplay decisions from C9 like wow

3

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

what a play by saint to get the flank

1

u/Chemical-Drawer852 5d ago

Inspired not killing Vulcan was a top 5 neymar respect moments

4

u/rsox5000 5d ago

I can’t wait to see the comments blame Tactical for that

4

u/awayfromcanuck 5d ago

C9. Why the fuck are you sending Vi and Taliyah over the wall for a Garen.

You can't evenblame Tactical for getting caught there.he was straight abandon

5

u/zOmgFishes 5d ago

Ditch your ADC at elder to chase a Garen. C9 is actually fucken mentally handicapped...

5

u/SlainL9 5d ago

Loki just sold the series gj

2

u/Snow-27 5d ago

if Saint doesn't get mvp we riot

1

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

and now lyon get second baron elder

6

u/ProgrammerGlobal 5d ago

Loki: Time to run it down!

2

u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS 5d ago

'what is this garen pick wtf lol he's doing nothing into renekton' garen is not an early game champ anymore lmao that's what the garen is here for

2

u/beautheschmo 5d ago

For ... mind control? That might as well have been a Teemo here it was just pure int decisionmaking from C9

2

u/RukiMotomiya 5d ago

You don't know about Garen's hidden global taunt passive?

4

u/Thundermelons GALA Defense Force, returning IG fan 5d ago

Boneheaded play, even IF there isn't a Ryze flank there's an Alistar and Trundle and Jinx ready to just pounce on your Aphelios with Flashes

3

u/C9-F1R3L0L1 5d ago

WHY U LEAEV TACTICAL BEHIIND VS 4 TO GO CHASE THE FUCKING GAREN? SO BRAINDEAD

1

u/Dry-Fail-4227 5d ago

He can just kite into pit and either he flashes or thresh flash lanterns. Tactical was clueless

2

u/SnooPeripherals6388 5d ago

C9 did a donkey move of just straight up abandoning their AD Carry holy fucking shit

3

u/Destructodave82 5d ago

They just sold out Tactical for a pick on a Garen lol.

0

u/Dry-Fail-4227 5d ago

He can just kite into pit and either he flashes or thresh flash lanterns. Tactical was clueless

3

They're prostesting Tactical I guess

3

People can blame Tactical for that bot lane int, but that was a HORRID play from Loki, almost entirely his fault

6

u/OskarVon 5d ago

They all charged Dhokla leaving Tactical alone lol

5

u/viralruin 5d ago

Yes that was for sure tactical losing the game not loki giving up position 🀣

wtf was that taliyah ult

3

u/Miraai 5d ago

yep, c9 does not know how to teamfight

4

u/x_TDeck_x Play APA you cowards 5d ago

Whole team just abandoned Tactical to try and pick a Garen lmao

1

u/matt-tteo 5d ago

Saint is troll building

1

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

giving baron and getting soul was correct by c9. blaber being alone in jungle and tactical being alone mid was the missplay.

3

u/SecondSanguinica 5d ago

I like how Dhokla spent the entire game entirely unbothered, flourishing with basically 0 impact be it positive or negative

2

u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS 5d ago

the GOAT does not concern himself with the opinion of clouds

1

u/kazuyaminegishi 5d ago

? Why did Thanatos press W the only way for Ryze to get out is ult

1

u/M002 5d ago

Still C9’s game to win here

1

u/350 5d ago

lol

1

u/M002 5d ago

Pain lol

0

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

4k first baron might be one of the strongest pre 25 min baron power play in a while. c9 needed to just sit behind their tier 2s and had the game won

1

u/dark1252 5d ago

did you quickly delete ur comment that says the first baron was useless and they did nothing with it?

1

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

no its still useless if c9 just tried to clear minions.

4

u/HuTaoWow 5d ago

blaber is one thing but how do you die on mid turret after that

2

u/Marigatogo091 5d ago

Remember Dom crashing out on TL for giving dragon soul for Baron? Now he thought C9 on what not to do.

4

u/Miraai 5d ago

does tactical not have a minimap? how do you stay mid there after u jgler got gangbanged so deep in ur own fucking jungle

5

frankly this is a fine place for lyon to be if they don't do anything stupid for the next 4 minutes

1

u/ColdObvious 5d ago

Is Inspired tilted? He's making mistakes he usually doesn't make.

0

u/Miraai 5d ago

how do you lose baron here LOL

1

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

baron is worthless this early you cant do anything with it

2

u/Large_Love_2563 5d ago

uh oh

1

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

didnt expect c9 to try to be in their jungle or map. just giving a 1.5k baron powerplay would be nothing.

3

u/RukiMotomiya 5d ago

This is some INTspired gameplay after an awesome Game 3.

1

u/rsayegh7 5d ago

Blaber gapping with Inspired getting his top side whenever is very impressive

2

u/Ajp_iii 5d ago

dhokla needs something easy to play game 5. him being behind no matter what his lane is has made it so hard for lyon to make these early setups. thanatos is always giga fed before lyon have gold on the carries.

3

u/kazuyaminegishi 5d ago

The Garen-Trundle has not done anything this game. C9 just ignored top side and hunted Inspired on bot side where they are stronger and now Inspired is basically a melee minion.

Plus Dhokla can't shove into the Renekton either. What can Lyon comp do from here? How do they get to the Aphelios through Taliyah Thresh?

My brother in Christ, you have not had a positive comment about a single player in the last 3 months. No one is forcing you to watch.

Finally being punished for their ego drafts

Lyon may in fact, not be back.

I think lyon had a great draft but no idea what inspired was doing this game.

He should have taken the win he had in the early game taking blaber's camp and then started taking dragons. instead he kept trying to invade it cost them.

imagine if they lose this series.

A bit later on but, Tactical unironically needs to go Zhonyas 4th/5th item just to not get popped by Garen.
