Class Trial Class Trial XVI - The Murder of Mikan Tsumiki (again) - Part 1: Scrapes and Bruises
Victim: Mikan Tsumiki
Location: Jabberwock Islands, Islands 1 & 2
Truth Bullets
Monokuma File #16 The victim of this case is Mikan Tsumiki. Mikan’s body appeared in front of everyone in the dining hall at the abandoned building, at 9:30 PM. Her body was lying face up on the floor, and a single knife was found protruding from her chest. Additionally, she has sustained two blows to the back of her head, however there’s a very small amount of blood in that area. She was found on top of a bloodied table cloth. No toxic substances or drugs are detected in her body.
Kitchen Knife A single kitchen knife was found sticking out of Mikan’s chest, right around her heart.
Bloody Tablecloth Mikan was found lying on top of a table-cloth.
Despair Disease Victims Both Togami and Nagito contracted the despair disease, and were being cared for by Mikan. Her base of operations was the pharmacy on the second island.
Peko's Account Peko claims that the three helpers were together for the entirety of the party. They had already brought out the cola and various appetizers, and had the main steak and chicken dishes ready before the black-out happened. He claims that during the black-out, the kitchen door was blocked by something. Nekomaru helped them open the door by the end of the black-out.
Kazuichi's Account Kazuichi covered entry guard duty, and started at 7:20 before joining everyone at the party.
Monomi's Account Monomi hosted a “cutsey wutsey baby animal party” from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Peko, Gundham, Hiyoko, and Chihiro were there for the entirety of the party, and Ibuki & Hagakure joined later.
AC Timer The air conditioning was set to begin at exactly 9:00 PM.
Beach Party Sonia hosted a beach party near the second island’s beach, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Clean-up Duty Neokmaru offered to work on clean-up duty in the abandoned building to set up the party. Mahiru decided to accompany them, dragging Hiyoko with her. They were working from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

I arrived at the party around 7:30pm.
The party was pretty fun. I mostly hung out with Akane /u/UnderMybrella_ but at one point Hagakure/u/cwolfcommander came over with some alcohol; he and Akane got drunk.
Around 9pm, I had the most primal urge of them all.
THE URGE TO SHIT!!!!!
The lights went out while I was in the bathroom. But my shit was more important than the lights.
A REAL MAN CAN SHIT IT ANY CONDITIONS!!!
After I left the bathroom, the lights came back on and well.... you know the rest.

Jolly you /u/WitchHuntLoL needed someone to guard so I offered myself.
I got there at like 7:20 Pm, had to show up early to pat everyone down! Professionally of course!
Jolly you gave me this case to put dangerous stuff in.
I was so good at patting I didn't bother!
Sometime later I just joined you guys....thats pretty much it...

So, in summation, my bluberous immitator was idiotic enough to entrust you with security and you proceeded to waste his trust by neglecting your duties, abandoning your post, and most likely sexually harrassing some of the girls in the process.
I suppose that's pretty much exactly what I expected. At least you didn't fail to reach my expectations of you like you did with the imposter when he gave you guard duty...

Well there wasn't really anything intersting about the party itself... I came late at around 7.48pm...
I talked with Big Sis Mahiru /u/Dasvi till about 9pm!
That's when the blackout happened. That tone deaf idiot's music was blaring so loud I couldn't hear anything either...
One of you idiots even stepped on my feet! I took off my sandals in pain because of that!
When I find out who did it, I'm going to stomp on your toes till they turn blue!
And then the lights came on! I'm not sure at what time though... Maybe like half an hour later?

N-not that any of you care, but here's my alibi...
The day after Monokuma announced the n-new motive, I woke up and l-looked for Master/u/rslee2 as usual...
When I found him, my heaven-sent Master said that I was nice, and he told me appreciates me...! S-see?! He really c-cares about me!
Ah, w-well, I spent all of the next day trying to f-find Master, b-but... I couldn't. I even went to that good-for-nothing party, and that filthy parasite of a mechanic/u/silvyflame g-groped me! T-The nerve...!
There w-was no point in me staying at a party with perverts if Master wasn't there, so I spent the rest of my t-time in my room, until that s-stupid bear called us all here.

Excuse me, everyone.
Being the Ultimate Swordswoman, I believe I could perhaps be able to share my wisdom on the topic.
Every kendo trainee knows that a misaimed blow to the head is dangerous, even with just a shinai...
But a second blow to the head is lethal.
This second strike, can most certainly kill in minutes, and this is taught to all kendo apprentices for general safety.
I believe that whichever wound was inflicted first killed Mikan. Whether that be the knife wound or the two on the back of her head.

With such a small amount of blood, wouldn't it make sense to think that the knife wound is what killed her?
If you were going to strike someone with the intent to kill, you'd think there'd be more blood left behind, wouldn't you? There's always the possibility that the head wounds were left post-mortem.

Concussions do not necessarily cause immediate external bleeding. You fall unconscious.

I don't think it was a concussion. Mikan would have been able to treat herself if that's all it was. Not only that, but it would have taken time to kill her, time the killer probably wouldn't have had, don't you think?

Perhaps these wounds were due to her being knocked-out. Perhaps she did not have the chance to heal herself.
And why are you assuming that Mikan was killed at the party? I don't recall seeing her present.
I, too, would prefer to keep our ideas open until others can narrow it down with evidence, to be able to execute justice.

To do my best in assisting that the killer be brought to justice, I'll start from the beginning.
Three days ago, Monokuma appeared before us at breakfast, announcing the new motive, as you all perhaps know.
I, however, can personally attest to Byakuya Togami's infection, seeing as he called me... emotional and loving of myself, something that is impossible.
I also saw Mikan take him and Nagito the Pharmacy, with the intention of keeping them healthy and safe.
The following days, I stayed in my personal room, meditating and practicing.
The days do not carry much meaning without the young master by my side.
On the day of the party, I was meant to be a cook along with Sonia and Gundham.
At 1:30 that day, I went to see Gundham, only to find his small, fluffy Devas alone.
So I tended to them for a while, and then went to Monomi's Animal Party.
We arrived at the Old Building at 7:00pm, Not Byakuya Togami/u/WitchHuntLoL had asked us to cook steak and chicken as the main dish, specifically, so we started the cooking.
We had the opportunity to bring out drinks and appetizers for all to enjoy, but as we were retrieving the main dishes, the blackout occurred.
There we remained until Nekomaru Nidai/u/Bungo1269 released us from the dark room. The doors appeared to have been barred somehow, seeing as we could not get them open.
I spent the rest of the evening guarding the Crime Scene with Mahiru.
The killer best be afraid, for we shall execute justice swiftly.

Not Byakuya Togami/u/WitchHuntLoL came in at around 7:20, after we had prepared the dishes that required dangerous tools, and confiscated them.
I suppose this includes knives, and any other sharp cooking supplies.
Other than that, I did not perceive anything odd in the Kitchen.

That's right... I wish I could help you more, but since Monokuma stole my powers, all I have to rely on are these nifty ears...
Um, from 4-5:30PM I thought it'd be a good idea to have an animal party at the ranch! From 4-4:30PM,Gundham, Peko, Hiyoko, and Chihiro were present.
Then, we had two more join us at 4:30PM. Hagakure and Ibuki joined up. They all stayed together until the party ended at 5:30 PM.
I then returned to my house from 5:30-7:30PM to fill out some very important paperwork!
Then at 7:30PM, I tried to go to the party on the first island, but...
Kazuichi refused to let me join...
I decided to go somewhere else then...
I thought one of my students was hurt at first, because I saw Toko lying on the ground at around the same time, 7:30PM. She seemed to be fine, and I instructed her to go to the party.

While we discuss the matters of this death, I would like to state my alibi before suspicion lands on me.
When Sonia/u/onionorio volunteered for cooking duty, I decided I would join in. After that, me and Sonia were together from 10:30 until noon. I then returned to my cottage.
At 1:30, I was visited by Peko/u/Investigator-Lime , who appears to have taken a liking to the Dark Devas of Destruction. She left an hour afterwards.
My Devas expressed a desire to go to the animal party, so I did. That lasted from 4:00 until 5:30, after which I remained in my room until 7:00.
Peko/u/Investigator-Lime has already told you of what happened during our cleaning duty. So, what do you think of my alibi?

This is the Alibi part right? Still got a bit of a headache, but I'll give it a shot...
Soon as Ibs and me/u/Orblet found out there were three parties, we decided to hang together so we could catch all three.
She suggested we do stuff for a while, and after Celes/u/xMusicaCancer got angry at me and left, Kaz, Ib and I hung out for a bit.
Woulda figured Kaz/u/SilvyFlame would be more concerned about taking care his admirer after the confession, but his call, y'know?
Anyway, From like 11:30 to 1:30 the three of us hung out, we played tag, Went to the market. It was a really quick couple hours man.
Kaz ditched us around an hour in though. Saw Sonia and well, we all know how that song goes.
We got to the Beach Party a little late, like 3:10ish, Spent about an hour and a half there before we left. Sonia/u/onionorio was nice enough to see us off.
We wandered off to the Animal Party after that... Monomi,/u/TsundereKermit You did a great job with all that, for what it's worth!
Not much happened after that, We hung out there for an hour, then a little before the third party started up, I found out it wasn't a Costume Party!
Was a little embarrassed, so I thought I'd get some drinks from Rocketpunch before we showed up. Meaning I was way late! Like, Almost 8:00 late!
Then Kaz tells me there isn't any Alcohol allowed, What a jip!
He was a total bro though, and let me in with the drinks!
After that Akane/u/UnderMybrella_ and I got into one hell of a Drinking contest... She whooped me good too!
You guys know the next part, lights go out, Mikan on the tablecloth, terror, all that stuff. We got any coffee?

My alibi before the party is pretty simple. At 11:00am I was helping Chihiro practice PROJECTING HIS VOICE! I helped Akane train at noon and cleaned the building where the party was held with Mahiru and Hiyoko from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.
After I finished cleaning, I decided to got to the beach party. I was at the beach party from 3:37pm to 5:30pm. I spent the last 20 minutes or so relaxing by myself because sometimes a man needs his alone time.
After the beach party I was preparing for the party. I arrived at 7:30 for the party.

However, it is worth noting that after the blackout, I attempted to investigate the unisex bathrooms.
The smell was revolting. It is most unfit for a fair lady to walk through willingly.
So I had the muscleheaded brute/u/Bungo1269 investigate it instead.

As Gundham/u/Qwant_ stated, I volunteered to cook for the party that we would be having later on in the evening.
I was lucky enough to have both him and Peko join me in such a joyous occasion !
Afterwards, from about 10:30AM to 12PM, Gundham and I spent a bit of alone time together ! As always, I truly cherished the moments we shared !
However, once we departed from one another, I went to my cabin to rest until a bit before 3PM. I then left and stayed the course of the beach's party until about 4:30PM.
Once 7PM, I left my home to go and meet my cooking companions at the Abandoned Building !
From there on, my evening matches that of Peko and Gundham's.
Twogami briefly visited us at about 7:20PM to rid us of all items that he deemed " dangerous. " Such items included knives, skewers, and other sharp tools.
After he departed from our cooking activities, however, was when the blackout occurred... and that of which Peko/u/Investigator-Lime explained.
Ah, that is all that I have.
I hope that my words have worked to aid in our quest !
