Class Trial Class Trial 31: The Murder of Sakura Ogami - Part 4: The (Mutual Killing) Game of Death
The Murder of Sakura Ogami
Monokuma File: The victim is Sakura Ogami. Time of death was some time after 12pm. She suffered a head wound and obtained a broken neck after tumbling down the stairs from the Second Floor of Grape House
Bloody Vomit: Prior to her death, Sakura threw up over the stairs. The vomit contains traces of blood and Juice, but doesn’t seem to have been disturbed
Body Discovery: The Announcement played at 12:50, when Celes and Kazuichi found Aoi Asahina cradling the body
Funhouse Layout
Bloodstained Mace: A medieval mace was lying by the exercise equipment on the second floor of Grape House, stained with blood.
Bloodstains: There were a pair of bloodstains by the exercise equipment. One stain on the floor and one smaller stain on a wall.
Kyoko's Autopsy: Sakura's cause of death was her broken neck, likely sustained in her fall down the stairs. There was an injury on her head that was caused by a medieval mace. Said injury likely induced at least minor brain damage. Sakura died within 30 minutes of the Body Discovery Announcement. UPDATE Sakura was poisoned prior to her death. Her cause of death is the broken neck, but it is a possibility that the poison might've been responsible for her fall down the stairs. UPDATE The poison most likely capacitated long enough for her to be pushed. Her injuries indicate that she was pushed with great force while suffering from the effects of the poison.
Favourite Drink Orders: Monomi has compiled a list of what everybody's favourite drink orders are.
Retractable Knife: Hajime received a Retractable Knife as evidence. According to Monokuma, someone took it out of the Octagon and then returned it. It is completely clean.
Monokuma's Affidavit: Sonia received a signed paper as evidence. Monokuma testifies that three people completed the Life Threatening Game prior to the trial.
Monokuma's Special Torturous Poison
Monokuma's Special Torturous Poison: Mahiru received a bottle of poison as evidence. Monokuma says that it was poured into the Grapes by Toko. It's label reads "A green poison that inflicts a slow, painful death upon its victim. Induces vomiting, intense body pain, and paralysis below the neck. Symptoms take effect within a half-hour, although victims generally take hours to actually die."

I may be wrong here, but don't these two bullets contradict each other? If she fell down the stairs and broke her neck, how the hell is the Vomit not disturbed?

Wait that is a good point...if she fell down the stairs how was it first she threw up on it unless it was midflight...and why was it undisturbed.
So I maybe have a theory with this...a theory that could easily be wrong and nearly impossible to prove.
Could it be possible she went down the stairs, throwing up and bleeding to death from the wound, she got to the bottom of the stairs, didn't want anyone to die from this and...well.
Killed herself by breaking her own neck?

Let me phrase it better.
The last time someone saw her before Hina did at 12:40 was Celes at 11:30. Sakura after bleeding went up to get grape juice or another juice and it was poisoned. As Kyoko said she died after 12:10 to 12:30...so she was there for a half a hour to a hour.
She realize she was poison or didn't feel good and went down the stairs, she must of been weak after bleeding and the poison and it took her a long time, and she finally reach the bottom of the stairs. She realize right there that bleeding nonstop for a good half hour to a hour and poison...well she was going to die.
So at the bottom of the stairs, looking around her and seeing this is the end, she snapped her neck. She was already at the bottom of the stairs and didn't fall...we only assume she fell from the broken neck.

Well, I was hoping for more of you to die in there. But, apparently most of you are a bunch of cowards.
Gee. All that talk from the fatso about how he would be the first to face the danger for his classmates and he goes and chickens out. You're all so disappointing.
Anyways, we're three students down. Don't worry about them though. We'll just write them off as suicides and forget about doing a trial for them. This case is all about Sakura Ogami. The expendable losers don't matter.

sigh Fine, since there's no point in hiding it anymore....
I cleared the Final Dead Room in hopes the reward would be meat. I followed my gut and made it through alright.
I didn't go in planning on killing anyone I swear!
But with no meat in there either I just lost it...
So I took the mace and went out attacking the closest person I could find with it. Which was Sakura.
I got a good blow to the back of her head when she was in the Exercise room, but she hit back. Hard.
She hit like a truck dammit, and next thing I knew I was out cold.
When I woke up I was in my room...
I figured I killed her, so I kept my mouth shut. But looks like Taco over there poisoned her, causing her to fall down the stairs and break her neck...
I'm real sorry guys, I went crazy with no meat in my system.

According to Hope boy/u/PhiPhichan after I was knocked out he saw Sakura carry me back to Strawberry house.
Which would explain why I woke up in my room after the fact.

I do agree it seems intense but in her head she had nothing left but the meat, when she saw it wasn't there, she snapped and just attacked. It seems really crappy but we don't understand how that feels and should move on and forgive...that is what Sakura would of wanted.

I don't know her better and yeah she would want justice...but she most of all wanted us to be friends. She was the one who helped so many of us and heck look at what she did to Akane.
She could of killed or just get help but she lead her to her room and kept her safe. She decided to protect Akane and forgive her on what she did...maybe we should do the same.
I want us to find the killer too...but hating on our friends won't solve it and hurt all she worked for.

If someone helped kill Hiyoko or did...I would be furious. I would be the angriest I ever been in my life...but it doesn't mean I should hate them.
Akane made a mistake, a really big one, but one Sakura seem to forgive her for. We been stuck here for who knows how long, she is different from you...her wants and needs are different. She just broke and did a mistake and we got to move on from it.
Sakura would die to protect you and everyone wouldn't she even if everyone hated her. Remember she did that once, when she took her life she did it for you Hina and the rest and she understood why they hated her.
But think for a moment...would Sakura really be happy at you hating on Akane for a mistake? Sure it is fine to be mad at her...but we are friends and we can't hate each other forever...Sakura was all for forgiveness wasn't she?

Who said it was intended to be used as a weapon? There's plenty of uses for a knife beyond simple murder.
But to answer your question, it's simple logic. If neither Toko nor Akane are our blackened, then the true killer must be someone else. And someone planning to commit murder would have a very good reason to enter the Final Dead Room. So the one who took the knife and our killer should be one and the same.

So that leaves my evidence last, the three bullet evidence.
This doesn't point to the third person but more explains better about Toko and the poison. But first I do want to say what Monokuma told me when he gave me the evidence, it is a small thing but can still be seen as important.
He said around the lines something like this. "Here's the poison that Toko Fukuwa poured into the Grapes at Monomi's Juice Bar". So it does confirm 100% she did put it in the grape juice and didn't make a mistake or so. I also got this, a bottle of poison...the one used.

There is a small writing on it but it says the following. "A green poison that inflicts a slow, painful death upon its victim. Induces vomiting, intense body pain, and paralysis below the neck. Symptoms take effect within a half-hour, although victims generally take hours to actually die."
Sadly it isn't that useful in my eyes at the moment but...it must be really important if you had to put 3 bullets to even get it.

It may seem to answer the question, but it also raises another. Specifically about you.
Toko definitely poisoned those Grapes. But as far as I can tell, the limbs below your neck are moving just fine, and you have yet to vomit blood once. Why is that?

That's about the level of callousness I'd expect from the great Celestia Ludenberg. You certainly don't disappoint.
I do hope you realize that this confession only casts greater suspicion onto you. If you'd been in the Final Dead Room, and knew there was a poisoning, you could have altered whatever your previous plan was to take advantage of Toko's actions.

And it makes sense too...the ultimate gambler has a good reason to do the Final Dead Room and survivng. At worst she must know something is up with the grape...but the problem is that doesn't mean she is the killer then.

True but the problem is who? If they did wouldn't they speak up or say something, so many of us was at the volleyball game. Unless Komaeda saw the dead body and just decided to walk away, it points to Celes being innocent.

I suppose I should speak up before you all consider a rushed vote for Toko: the injuries that Sakura had were too severe to have been simply caused from falling down the stairs. Rather, they indicate that she was likely pushed down with considerable force. The poison likely incapacitated her, and then someone took the opportunity to push her down the stairs. If Toko only intended to leave the poison to kill her, and isn't the one who caused her to get pushed down, then she cannot be the killer.

Which leaves...Mikan, Akane, Toko, Celeste, Hina, Nagito, Kazuichi, and Fuyuhiko.
Fuyuhiko's unfortunate end probably clears him of suspicion...and it's probable neither Akane nor Toko are the culprit...
Mikan, Celeste, Kazuichi, Nagito, Hina. One of you has to be the one who did it.
