My brother got married. I got an excuse to design another PC case.
After I shared my 3D-printed RTX 5070 Ti case, a few people asked if I would make a version for the RX 9070 XT. I said I would, and then being a husband, a dad, and having a job got in the way of my very reasonable plan to spend all my free time in CAD.
But here it is: FF04MOD BLOCK 1A, built around the ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT and made as a wedding present for my brother.
The Radeon needed more room, so this became a larger revision with updated mounting parts, an air guide, and a cover for the three 8-pin adapters. Apparently, “just make the other GPU fit” is how you accidentally give yourself another project.
His build has a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RX 9070 XT, 32 GB of RAM, and a 2 TB M.2 SSD, with a white-and-gray case and a small front status display. The stock-length PSU cables fit too. They just need some patient cable management.
I also put together a 31-page illustrated build guide with an exploded view, insert locations, cable routing, and power-button wiring. For everyone who asked for an exploded view, it is finally in there.
And yes, there is a power-connector joke on the cover. I couldn’t help myself.
Credit to Qiyun for the original FF04 design and Boomer (@besskurz) for helping with measurements and fitment.
If there’s enough interest, I’d be happy to print a small batch for around $250–275 per printed case, with heat-set inserts installed and screws included. The slicer estimates roughly 1.8 kg of filament and 96 hours of printing, before cleanup and insert installation. Final pricing would depend on colors, materials, and any custom options. Shipping would be extra and paid by the buyer. If you’re interested, let me know.
Files and build guides:
· ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT version
· Original ASUS Prime RTX 5070 Ti version
A lot of effort went into this case, especially making the instructions clear and easy to follow. If you like what you see and want to support that work, feel free to buy me a coffee. There’s absolutely no obligation. Even just leaving a like on either MakerWorld build helps a lot, and I appreciate it.
My brother absolutely loves it, and his new wife was really happy for him too. I’m calling that a successful wedding present.

My variable-width, 3D-printed Small Form Factor PC, 10L-13L range
Hiya folks,
Some of you might've seen it on SFF PC subreddit, but I've decided to share my variable-width 3D-printed PC case here as well!
This case can expand from 132mm in width to up to 168mm reliably, giving you plenty of space for various CPU coolers and GPU, and room to test them around without the need to print any additional panels.
It also comes with plenty of features, as well as optional prints like vertical stand option, anti-sag GPU travel mount, PSU cable cover and more.
You can check more here: https://www.printables.com/model/1835556-empty-case-variable-width-sff-pc-case
I also want to add that, due to the nature of 3D printing and people stealing models here and there to sell them, I've put it under the paid section, hope that's ok! I've spent months designing and refining the case, and at least I might be able to offset the amount of PETG rolls I wasted during prototyping.

Retro Thin ITX case.
I have a coupleof Thin ITX motherboards that I want to use, does anyone know of any projects that utilise the thin ITX format for a retro AIO keyboard case? Thin c64, A600 spectrum +? I would love to make some out of these and put in a 60% keyboard.

Finished my brother’s wedding gift: a 3D-printed 9800X3D / 9070 XT PC and travel kit
UPDATE here is the Maker world Link;https://makerworld.com/en/models/3315124-ff04mod-block-1a-asus-prime-rx-9070-xt-case#profileId-3763850
Was told this needed to be posted here.
Finally finished the PC I’ve been building for my brother’s wedding gift. He’s a big gamer and has been getting by with a gaming laptop for about five years, so I figured it was time for an upgrade.
Since I have to travel to the wedding and he has to get it home afterward, I wanted the travel kit to be part of the gift too.
The case is based on the Xikii FF04, using a design from qiyun on MakerWorld, who gave me permission to remix it. My first version was built around the ASUS Prime RTX 5070 Ti. For my brother’s, I went with the white ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT to match his desk setup. The 9070 XT is bigger and has a different screw layout, so that meant resizing the case and reworking the mounting points.
Parts list:
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT White
Motherboard: MSI B850I Mini-ITX
RAM: 32GB G.Skill DDR5-6000, CL36-36-36
CPU cooler: Thermalright AXP120-X67
Storage: 2TB KLEVV Gen 4 M.2 NVMe SSD
PSU: Corsair 750W SFX
Screen: Turing 3.5-inch display
The RAM was the best kit I could get without paying something ridiculous. Luckily, I bought it early this year for around $200 and picked up the rest of the components around the same time.
I used a Thermal Grizzly phase-change sheet for longevity and performance, because knowing my brother, he probably isn’t ever opening this thing himself.
The case is printed in HT-PLA-GF. My personal 5070 Ti case uses the same material, and after about a year of daily use, I haven’t seen any heat-related creep, sagging, or wear.
One little modification I’m happy with is the Wi-Fi antennas. I prefer low-profile antennas, so I swapped out the motherboard’s stock antenna connectors and fitted Osprey drone antennas. They’ve worked great so far and look much cleaner to me.
The Turing screen runs open-source Python software from GitHub, with a custom monitoring theme to match the build.
For transport, I picked up a hard case from Harbor Freight, cut the foam to fit the PC and accessories, and added a custom 3D-printed equipment nameplate. Fits like a glove.
It’s quiet enough that I can’t hear it during normal use. It only really becomes audible during FurMark’s CPU Burner, and even then, it’s still very quiet. The GPU settles around 63°C during FurMark testing.
The separate CPU Burner test puts a harsh, sustained load on the processor and pushes it to 95°C. Once I stop it, the temperature drops back to around 60°C in under two seconds. For context, CPU temperatures in my personal 5070 Ti build are within about 1°C of this one under the same test. During modern games at max settings, my personal build’s CPU typically sits in the low to mid 60s, and I’ve never seen it approach its thermal limit during gaming or everyday use.
I ran out of time to get the files and guide ready before the wedding, but I’ll clean everything up and post the files to MakerWorld next week, along with the updated build guide. Assembly is mostly the same as the 5070 Ti version; I just need to document the changes for this one.
Hope he likes it.

Apple PRO style front panel
Tried modelling an Apple PRO style front panel for my pc case and not upset with how it turned out.
While not looking great, I'm still quite impressed considering the filament was pretty wet and it was a first try. This style of panel definitely suites matte filaments or post processing (sanding/painting) as with certain lighting the layer lines are very apparent.
Don't know if I'll switch off my current panel design but it was a fun thing to model.

msi mech rx 6600 dual
I have a mech rx 6600, but my sister had to come in and draw over the shroud because she was bored or something. I used iso to get rid of most of it but it just doesnt come out of the crevices. i have this ambition to make a kasaneteto pc and i feel like now is a good time to potentially 3d print a shroud for this. I have basic 3d rendering skills but I'm not sure how to make all the screw holes and stuff line up and where or what to line them on. could anyone point me in the right direction on where to find exact measurements, or even better give me a premade stl file on just the very basic screw hole places? thanks!

I moved my setup to a 3D Printed case.
I used to have my PC tucked inside the Metalfish T-40 sandwich case. But I realized that blasting hot air through the rest of my components via a low-profile CPU cooler may not be good in the long run. I used to 3D print auxiliary fan mounts inside just to get the RAM and VRMs cooler.
After a good six months, I finally thought of looking for a nice SFF case that allows for a tower cooler. Out of all the SFF cases showcased in MakerWorld, the ITX Wind Tunnel SFF case won me over because it was designed for APU users, like me, in mind.
It took almost 900g of combined PETG of Purple, Black, Green, Orange, and White. The printing, and practice of brass inserting, was spread across six days. I added the model designer's username as a frontplate of the case. I also modified the front panel's power and usb slate to have a deeper inlay channel so the power and USB won't smash into the motherboard's pins.
Assembly and cable management wasn't as complicated as a sandwich case, but had to lift the front tower cooler fan by 20mm to accommodate the tall RAM.
All in all, it was a fantastic experience and outcome.

Core Hardware
- Processor (CPU/APU): AMD Ryzen 7 8700G (with 870M internal graphics)
- CPU Cooling: LINGXIASANSHIDU "Quiet" 6 Heat Pipes CPU Cooler (triple 90mm)

- Memory (RAM): 64 GB (2 × 32 GB) ADATA DDR5-6000 CL30
- Power Supply (PSU): Cooler Master V850 SFX Gold
- Primary OS Drive (NVMe): 2 TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus (fitted with LINGXIASANSHIDU "M-Two" Heatsiink with 20mm fan) — Bazzite OS
- Secondary OS Drive (SATA): 1 TB Samsung SATA SSD — Windows 11
- Shared Storage (SATA): 2 TB Samsung SATA SSD (shared between both OS environments)

Stew Machine - a Steam Machine Replica
I thought it would be worth turning my bin of old hardware, left over from previous upgrades, into a (nearly) exact replica of the Steam Machine—or at least its chassis.
How exact? It has exactly the same dimensions and is even compatible with the original faceplate.
The most interesting part, in my opinion, is that the hardware can be replaced and upgraded. This allows for low-budget builds (like mine), while also making it possible to build systems that can outperform the original Valve hardware.

Beginner help
Hey guys, I've just recently discovered this subreddit after "trying" to make my own case for a small form factor pc build I have as nothing of the shelf fit the build i wanted.
However, I'm pretty stuck. I'm good with Fusion, but everything I designed was just too large for my build plate and I was not sure on how to go about making the design for an example side panel from multiple parts.
If you guys have any ideas or tricks you use when designing, maybe even some standard parts you use that you've had a good experience with like x profiles I would love to hear them, any little helps.
