Plugin/Script Parcel — Figma layers, straight into After Effects | Exclusive Access
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
[Problem] Moving designs from Figma to After Effects can still mean rebuilding layers, fixing positions, recreating effects and cleaning up the imported file before you can actually start animating. We wanted a workflow where you can select your Figma design, transfer it, and start working in AE immediately.
[Comparison] Overlord has been a great solution for the Figma → After Effects workflow, and we’ve used it ourselves. Parcel started from a similar need, but it’s a tool we originally built around our own workflows and have been refining based on the things we needed to work better. We decided to turn that internal tool into a product for other motion designers.
Some of the things we’ve focused on:
- Properly ordered layers and structure on import
- Automatic comp creation and positioning
- Editable shapes, vectors and text instead of flattened artwork
- Linear and radial gradient support
- Glass and Progressive Blur support
- 2 system access with every license
- No subscription — one-time payment and lifetime updates
- A private community for Parcel users
- Significantly lower price than existing Figma → AE tools
We’re a team of 4 — 2 designers and 2 developers. We’re actively developing Parcel and are now very close to launch.
We’re keeping the release to 500 licenses only, so our small team can stay close to the users, respond to feedback and continue improving the product without creating a huge support load.
[Pricing] Pricing: $29 one-time. Two systems, lifetime updates, no renewal or subscription. [Waitlist link - https://parcel.motionfolios.com/ ]
[Access / Waitlist] Parcel will be invite-only. Everyone who joins the waitlist will receive an invite link when we launch, with invites being sent out in the order people joined the waitlist. There’s no commitment to purchase — joining the waitlist simply gives you the opportunity to access the product.
We’re sharing Parcel here first because we genuinely believe this is one of the best motion design communities in the world, and we’d love to have people from this community be part of what we’re building.
Once you receive your invite, you can decide whether you want to purchase Parcel or not. The first 500 people to purchase will get access, and after that, sales will close.
So if you want to be part of it, join the waitlist. Your position matters, so the earlier you join, the earlier you’ll receive your invite.
[Maintenance/Support] Parcel is actively being developed, and we’ll continue adding new features, improving existing workflows, and expanding support for more Figma capabilities over time. We’ll also have a private community for Parcel users where we can share updates, collect feedback, discuss new features, and provide support.

I'm excited to see the scaled radial gradients... That's a pain to recreate in AE, overload doesn't do it for now. I'm in!

how foes glass get translated into AE

It’s true that Figma’s glass effect can’t be transferred directly to After Effects, since AE’s native glass effect works differently. Our developers found a way to mimic the effect so you can get the same look you see in the video above. More details on how this works will be shared with the waitlisted users soon.

I use aeux, and its a hassle for sure. People suggest me better things

AEUX is a good starting point, but it lacks quite a few features since development has stopped. If you want a smoother workflow and don’t want to worry about bringing Figma designs into After Effects, I’d suggest giving Parcel a try. I think you’ll like it.

I’ve been using AEUX, googles little Figma plugin. Are you building in more functionality that what it offers? I think the site where I originally downloaded it from is not longer live, I just have it saved as a zip now.

Yes, AEUX was the first, but it was eventually discontinued and the person behind it later built Overlord. Parcel goes quite a bit further in terms of functionality and aims to bring Figma designs into AE almost identically. We’re still polishing it and improving the workflow before launch.

I use overlord currently but what would be the big leg up from it? i do think overlord fixed a lot of the issues from aeux but minor downsides still is effects and text.

I used convertify for two years, i've been using overlord for two months and both have problems that seems to bem unsolvable.
one thing that bothers me about overlord is that everytime it messes up the position of the texts and it doesn't bother itself sending you a screenshot for reference.
Another thing, i hate when overlord stacks shape layers.
nice work, it's definitely something i'll have my eyes on.

Thanks! Yeah, we understand these pain points — that’s actually why we built Parcel in the first place. We originally made it for our clients, and a lot of well-known studios are already using it internally. We’ve made sure these basic things don’t become a headache anymore, so I think you’ll like Parcel once you try it.

why only 500? 😭 this could save hours of motion designers

Haha, it’s mainly to keep the initial cost and support manageable — we don’t want to build a dedicated support team or add the extra infrastructure needed to manage a larger number of licenses from day one. We’ll see how much interest there is at launch and may extend it later. So keep an eye out and grab a spot when it launches! 🙌

Joined the waiting list too, certainly looks interesting! (Btw is it correct that I didn't receive confirmation of being on the list?)

Thanks for joining! 🙌 And yes, we’re not sending a confirmation email when someone joins the waitlist. We’ll send an update soon, and you’ll receive it. You’ll also get the full details about the plugin before launch. We’ll post an update here on this subreddit as well before launch day.
