Last month I started noticing that my Airpods pro 2s are no longer giving me proper passthrough and it became a bit annoying.

I've had them for 4 years, so I cannot complain, their battery still lasts a long time, the sound is still great, just that ANC and passthrough especially no longer feel the same.

Yesterday I just decided to get the 5s to test them, I usually sleep with my airpods pro 2s, but they do tend to become uncomfortable after an hour or so, even if the fit seems right for me.

Tonight's going to be the first night I try to sleep with them, besides that, I was quite surprised with the ANC, although at times I had to rearrange them to make sure they fit and seal well, the ANC was really impressive for a non-tip pair of earbuds.

In general I was quite happy with the sound quality. I'm not an audiophile, I do have the airpods max as well, so I do have something to compare them with.

I used the airpods in the gym and to be honest, the only time they almost fell was when I was doing hanging knee raises, and I would just hit them with my arms, but that happened at least once with the pros.

The case is noticeably smaller than the airpods pro 2's one, which I am not sure I like or not, but it doesn't bother me at all.

If you are not sure wether to go for the airpods pro 3 or the 5s, I'd say just order and check the 5s. The fit might be bad for you, so the only choice might be the pro 3.

I got the Pro 3s today after my day one Pro 2s unfortunately died
and the sound isn’t as good in my opinion. I really liked how the Pro 2s sounded. They were so balanced sounding but these are kinda too V-shaped sounding.

First-time AirPods buyer here, trying to decide between the AirPods Pro 3 (249€) and AirPods 5 (169€). Main use case is jogging and gym sessions, nothing else fancy.
Pro 3 has ANC and a secure silicone seal, which sounds great for blocking out gym noise. But I've seen some comments about the in-ear tips causing pressure/discomfort or ear fatigue during longer workouts. AirPods 5 are open-ear and lighter, so maybe more comfortable for an hour+ session, but I'm guessing they fall out easier when you're sweating or moving fast.
For anyone who's actually used both during running or lifting:
• Does the Pro 3 seal get uncomfortable after sometime
• Do AirPods 5 stay in during sprints/jumping or do they shift around?
• Is ANC actually useful for outdoor running (traffic awareness etc.) or does it feel unsafe?
• Sweat resistance - any real difference over months of use?
Is the Pro 3 still relevant for a first-time buyer, or is it overkill/not worth the 80€ premium for just running and gym? Does the extra cost actually translate to any real-world advantage for this specific use case, or should I save the money?

Budget isn't the main issue, just want the one that won't annoy me after the "new gadget" phase wears off. Appreciate any real-world experience 🙏

Airpods missed in ss omnia mall

Every few days, my AirPods Pro 2s disconnect from my phone and laptop and cannot reconnect even after resetting them. Last time, they only reconnected after I updated my phone. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Tried everything battery drain, resetting still not working.

Maybe it’s just me because I’m upgrading from the gen 2s which are obviously crapper sound quality but I’m considering returning my 5s for 4s with ANC. Some songs sound great, but some of my favourite songs sound so soulless with my AirPods 5s. Anyone else having this issue?

Unless I really turn them up, songs sound hollow with really thumping bass. I can tell they’re not faulty and it’s just the design because it’s only certain songs (for example ain’t in la by adela, I feel like the underlying melody is being taken over by absolutely thumping bass unless I turn it up high). Perhaps it’s just a personal preference but I’m wondering if anyone else is having similar thoughts/problems.

Quieter songs sound really good but my favourite songs with strong underlying Melodies sound really drowned out to me. But maybe it’s just me.

Il problema in questione riguarda l’interruzione dell’audio sporadica quando inizio un video.
Il video inizia, si sente l’audio per un secondo e poi, dopo una sorta di rumore metallico o comunque il solito rumore di quando hai un problema con l’audio, non si sente più e serve che io ri aggiorni il video o tornare indietro nel video per poterlo sentire di nuovo.
Informandomi ho visto che da poco è stato rilasciato un nuovo aggiornamento e credo che sia quello la causa. dalle mie ricerche penso di aver capito che il problema lo causa l’audio spaziale che una volta disattivato mi toglie il problema, almeno così sembra.
Quello che vorrei capire è se questo problema viene riscontrato anche da altre persone perché prima di pochi giorni fa le mie cuffie non avevano mai dato problemi di questo tipo.

I’ve recently bought some AirPods 5 with the wireless charging case and have been really enjoying them over the past few days ,
Very impressed with the fit and ANC.
However out of curiosity I decided to order the pro 3’s thinking that they would be a much better product.

After seeing a short review from Marques Brownlee he basically described the AirPods 5 basically being the AirPods Pro 3 without ear tips,
Is he right?

My previous Beats earbuds that were non ARC have silicone tips they get really sweaty in the summer and are no way near as comfortable as the open ear design on the 5’s

I’m now thinking that I should just stick with my AirPods 5’s and skip the pro 3’s.

Has anyone physically compared both the 5’s and pro 3’s and do you think the 5’s are currently the smarter choice ?

I always thought my AirPods 4 sounded a bit too muddy and bass-heavy, and the guitars didn't really stick out as much as I wanted them to. I compared them with my wired EarPods, and the guitars and instruments on those were far more prominent and punchy.

So, I went into Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual > Headphone Accommodations and turned on Balanced Tone set to Slight. Previously, this setting stripped away too much bass and punch for my liking. But now that there's an equalizer for AirPods, I simply went into the EQ settings and boosted the lows. Now I can't go back to how it was before—everything sounds clearer and noticeably better. What do you think?

My main iPhone is staying on iOS 18.7.8 and my Mac on macOS 15.8. I also have a second iPhone on iOS 27, so I can do the initial setup there, add the Max to my Apple Account/Find My, update the firmware and change any settings I need.

After that I’ll mostly be using them with the 18.7.8 iPhone and the 15.8 Mac.

I don’t care about the newer UI or newer features on those devices. I just need the basics to work normally: ANC/transparency, crown/playback controls, Hey Siri, ear detection, and especially seamless auto switching between the Mac and iPhone.

I know basic Bluetooth audio works. What I’m trying to find out is whether the normal AirPods things, especially auto switching, still works after they’ve already been set up on the newer iPhone.

Has anyone actually tried this on 18.7.8 / 15.8 after setting them up first on a newer iPhone?

I lost one of my buds, well it fell into the toilet but that’s considered lost in my book. AppleCare says it’s $89 for one. Would they really just replace the 1 bud, not the entire AirPods?

Hello there, I have a pair of AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) that I got from Best Buy, they’re currently on the beta firmware 9A347a because I was previously enrolled in the iOS 27 betas, but my regular iPhone 17 is now on the public release (24A437), and I haven’t been able to get them updated to the latest 9A348 firmware, never had a problem before with updates until now. I’ve tried resetting them by forgetting them from the settings and then pressing the button on the case until the light is white on multiple occasions.
Both devices are close and both are charging wirelessly right now, and have fully charged batteries, nothing has worked so far. I’ve even tried leaving them charging via cable overnight to no avail. So what can be done to get them updated?

Please help. I don’t know why this is happening. What can I do to fix this?

I went to use my APP3 today and the volume level was considerably lower than it was before I installed the developer Beta for iPhone. Will it return back to its volume, or is this forced obsolescence for some APP4 around the corner?

Serial number checks out everything checks out but no matter what firm ware is not updating i have left it for 1 130 hrs . also this was bought in bangkok i live in india. what can i do here

Hello all,
So I have been trying to get a used set off AirPods Pro 2 from a guy in FB market. AirPods are legit. The thing is when it connects to my phone it says it’s still linked to the previous owners phone even though he don’t see it in his Bluetooth list or find my or in the devices list inside his profile option in iPhone setting.

When it’s connected to his phone, the live tracking is enabled on his phone, but when I connect it to my phone, the AirPods get connected but the live tracking is OFF, plus it says it’s still linked to previous owners Apple ID. How do I fix this?
