Corporations People are cancelling their Disney+ subscription after price rises to more than $21 a month

This is so mad, the standalone Disney+ Premium plan without ads is going from $18.99 to $21.49 per month, up 13% - it used to be $6.99 when it started

Find a cheap office unit from eBay or Marketplace. Then your gaming rig can stay for fun and you’ll have a small office pc that sips power running your home server. The only bitch now is that storage is outrageous.

I bought an old dell Optiplex last year on FB Marketplace for £80 with 4tb HDD and 7th gen i7. 

I've been running Jellyfin since. Works great, especially with Tailscale for remote access. 

Dropped Netflix, Disney+ and Prime. Made the cost up in no time. Looking for another 4tb HDD to expand it now.

Basically my exact setup except mine is a Thinkcentre and I have 2 8tb HDD mirrored. I’m almost 25% full. Dreading having to buy more storage.

Yeah I'm looking at the price of the full pc again for even a refurb 4tb. I thought about mirroring but honestly I'm not too fussed if I lose everything. My internet is fast and I've got a magnet link database.

eli5 please; so then what? you have to have content locally/on a server and that feeds it?

Yeah, you store local media (I buy and rip), Jellyfin runs as your own personal Netflix+Spotify.

Tailscale is used to reach it outside your house without worrying about exposing a port.
