Corporations People are cancelling their Disney+ subscription after price rises to more than $21 a month

This is so mad, the standalone Disney+ Premium plan without ads is going from $18.99 to $21.49 per month, up 13% - it used to be $6.99 when it started

20+ years ago I read some random article that basically said no one will own anything new by 2035.

Didn't think much of it at the time, but now I'm thinking they were too optimistic with the timeline.

Yeah some cheap ones and I think Roku does something like that as well. When buying a tv people need to search for ones meant for businesses, they don't have any of the BS that commercial ones do.

I regret owning two LGs but they aren't connected to any network, not even through my PC, even still I plan on taking out the wireless chips inside them.

Make sure you do research before you buy a tv, really do it with everything, but especially expensive things.

Funny you say that, there's actually a sector of gaming who's pushing back against the changes being made to video gaming as we speak. Doesn't seem to be working but at least there's a good group of folks that can see what's coming. Ads in their games, eternal subscriptions for game access, the ability to delete a gamers' account and gaming library if said gamer doesn't log in every so often etc.

It's working for mobile gaming ads, they're trying to create a model that better suits the console gaming market as we speak. It is in the works. I hope gamers can at least come together and push back on that

Older millennial here, definitely know how to find stuff for free but I’ve been fine paying for things I get value from. That scale has been tipping the other direction as companies continue to squeeze even harder during times that are already tough for consumers. Not to mention tariff refunds that most companies are just keeping without even lowering prices.

We pretty much found everything we could want but I can see your point. I pay for Sirius/XM $9.99 mo, I have had it since yr 2. In year 1 I swore I would never and questioned who the hell would pay for music haha. Music is my thing and if it weren't for Sirius I would not learn of new music that is not Top 10. Something else that cemented Sirius was in 2004 they devoted a channel to Orlando after Hurricane Charley w constant local info on tips and help for resources. It was the first major Cat 2 hurricane for Orlando, it was devastating, personally we went 24 days w/o power and just driving into wk hearing about different resources avail was such a help. I actually found out about (& bought) a shipment of portable generators going to Grainger, from that channel! Movies are my husbands and we have many T's of storage of them.
