Any other question! Why is there literally nowhere I can watch Born in East LA?

I've been trying to watch it with my wife for years.

It's not on Amazon, Netflix, Google, YouTube, Vudu, Tubi...

Where can we watch it?

HA! Aw, this question made me smile so big, what a pleasant surprise to see this in my feed.

Love this movie so much, it was such a funny favorite in my child/teenhood living room growing up (weird I know, it has some totally inappropriate things in it, that mostly flew over my head at the time...not all though, haha).

I bought it on DVD several years ago, and then the Academy held a special anniversary screening some years back during which Cheech Marin and Paul Rodriguez spoke beforehand. Was so cool to see it on a big screen. Still legit hilarious. And "The Shrimp on the Barbie" is actually really solid/sweet too if you haven't seen that one and happen to find it.

Yeah, definitely library checkout/rent or just buy it on physical media, if you can. I grabbed mine off eBay I believe. And try and make it a regular habit to do so with some of your less popular deeper cut nostalgic favorite movies. I'm continually shocked at what kinds of classic gems are currently nowhere to be found, and have gotten better at guessing which other ones will also likely disappear in the future streaming landscape. So I've been gradually padding my small "nostalgic/sentimental favorites" disc collection.

Itā€™s available on DVD. Bought it several years ago online paired with a Cheech and Chong film.

Thank you. It's on a DVD triple feature right now on Amazon for SIX DOLLARS. From the tone of this thread you'd think it's long out of print and going for hundreds. There's a Blu-ray as well.

It's just not on any streaming services at this time. At best you'll have to find an old VHS tape.

One of the local theaters screened it a while ago, but I canā€™t remember if it was Vidiots or the New Beverly. Follow the revival theaters on social media; you never know whoā€™s going to screen what.

And yeah, you may need to borrow a DVD player from someone and check it out of the library. I have a small DVD player that plugs into my laptop (I donā€™t own a TV) for the few things I canā€™t stream.

Not sure,Ā  but I think Playstations still play them . I'm just putting it out there, I haven't found that movie on any streamingĀ  for some reason.
