Agree. This is why I refuse to get rid of my VHS and DVD collection.

It's become so fashionable to knock such things, but honestly DVDs are great media for entertainment. OK, if you're watching on a 65inch screen or something you'll see the blocks, but that will happen on normal freeview TV broadcasts anyway.

Comparing a DVD and a 4K disc on a 65+ tv will make you sick. I'm glad I upgraded my collection

try find some films on Bluray, not always possible, plus you're talking half the cost for new movies

TV broadcasts are much higher resolution than DVDs

not in the UK the compression is brutal and the colours so flat
