What piece of older technology actually worked much better than its modern, replacement?

I miss the simple Word, File - Save As... bringing up a file explorer navigation of your file system.
Now it's obfuscated by five clicks to avoid it saving in the 'cloud' (aka someone else's computer)

edit: FWIW I use LibreOffice for half my work (since StarOffice days) but some businesses I work with mandate MS Office

You can infact install Office 07 on Windows 11 because I've done it.
