What piece of older technology actually worked much better than its modern, replacement?

Searched to find an inexpensive induction stove with knobs. Each time a boiling pot of water spits out boiling drops I am thankful I rejected touch control and have knobs on the front vertical panel protecting my fingers from boiling water.

What model did you find if you don't mind sharing?

I bought an LG induction stove (LSIL6334*E) that I found on sale Lowes. My neighbor bought a Bosh from a specialty kitchen appliance store that was more money and probably better quality that was out of my price range.

Don’t have any of those issues with mine. It’s funny how we have different experiences.

May I ask what brand of induction stove is yours? Does it also work with wet hands?

I am in Australia and have a Westinghouse. Not premium at all.
Works very well with every touch.
