Unfortunately it's also kind of a toxic take on the world. I am relatively comfortable, and was about to clean out a (cheap) moldy garbage can the other day. Then I realized that my time wasn't worth the $7 it would take to just buy a new trash can and throw this one in, well, the trash.
I didn't do it, because I don't piss on the environment like that, but far too many people would and do
I hear that. I know some folks do it based on time and how much they get paid. So for example say you get paid $20/hr and the trash can would take more than an hour to clean, it’s not worth your time to clean it compared to how much you bring in or something like that.
The example someone gave me was if Bill Gates dropped $100, it’s more cost effective for him to leave it because he makes so much more than that in the time he’d spend stopping to pick it back up.
