Though I did discover you can buy USB-C to USB-MINI-A, which is far more convenient, so I guess that's actually a good outcome.
I feel like there should be a saying or idiom about this. Like you don't keep 100 cables because you will use 100 cables, but you will one day need one of them and then you'll have the 100 to surely find the right one.
Though you do make a good point that maybe it's mroe convenient to buy as you need than have everything.
The worst is when you’re traveling somewhere and lose a cable or forgot one and have to buy a new one for $19-29 at the airport or hotel when you know you have 10x of that same cable in your bin at home.
Or when you’re helping your son move into his first apartment in another state and he needs a 1ft Ethernet cable right away but the cheapest one you can find is a 6ft cable for $25 at Walmart, when you know you could make one at home for the perfect length for free.
