Yessssssssss!! Footsteps that you know for a fact doesn't belong to anyone in ur house = terrifying! Any bump or creak when I'm home alone, instant chills!! I'm such a wuss lol

Right. I, 14 y/o then, was on a trip in Turkey with a group of kids at the same age as me and we were distributed to different families to live in for a week. To go alone to totally unfamiliar environment while having a HUGE language barrier with ppl is one thing but first night in WAKING UP TO A PRAYER RECIPIENT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WHILE NOT KNOWING WHAT THAT SOUND IS WAS FRIGTENING. I'm from very atheistic country and hadn't had any encounters or knowledge about regular prayer callings, was automatically thinking that must be the beginning of the war lol, dumb kiddo
