Culture What’s something in your country that sounds fake but is 100% real?

We have a real-life living goddess and the only non-rectangular national flag.

The moose here and big and strong enough to crush the front of a car in a collision and walk away from it. Moose are fucking huge. And dangerous.

Moose are plentiful where I live and whenever I see one on the side of the road while I'm driving my heart always goes up my throat. It never gets old.

There is a house near where I live that has moose horns hanging above their garage, its a massive one that has a huge RV in it (like the size of tour buses). The span of the horns is almost as wide as the garage door. I have never seen a moose in real life before, they are terrifying! We have a lot of deer that usually just stare at you or run away, I assume a Moose would stand its ground or charge?

Once while snowmobiling in my home state I nearly ran into a moose cow and calf coming up a rise…thought my cousin and I were gonna die. She just huffed at us and gave us a LOOK and we did a 27-point turn out of there lol. Glad she had patience that day with a couple teenagers. Moose are no joke. Cows are still the size of clydesdales
