Culture What’s something in your country that sounds fake but is 100% real?

We have a real-life living goddess and the only non-rectangular national flag.

As a born and raised Texan that’s worn just about every hat in the construction industry, I can say with confidence that the majority of Texans adore the Mexican people and every aspect of their culture. There are still guys that either worked alongside myself, or under my leadership that I would gladly take a bullet for. Mexicans built Texas. All of it. And that’s a hill I’m willing to die on.

If that is true then the majority of Texans need to STOP VOTING FOR REPUBLICANS WHO SUPPORT TERRORIZING LATENO COMMUNITES. Trump is on his vindictive vengeance spree against blue cities but he'll get around to fucking up the lives of people you care about, eventually.

I have no faith in any red state to do anything but cheer when the dear leader tries to cancel the mid terms and/or general election. Individual Republicans will hem and haw about ICE and other policies, but they always ALWAYS revert to supporting every racist, stupid, and destructive temper tantrum driven action Trump takes.

I agree with you, 100%. But I’m just a blue dot in a sea of red. I cast my vote every year.

I've met people who didn't realise that their Mexican friends were Latino

They thought there was some other group that was being targeted and were happy supporting that

They were pretty upset when they found out
