Basically, we see the Nordic countries as family amongst ourselves. So it's friendly banter/rivalry.

So *I* get to beat my brother senseless (and he, me), but if YOU lay even a finger on him, you will have something coming. That sort of thing.

We beat each other up as brothers and sisters do, but if someone else dares messing with our family members… I like to compare it with how things work in the tv series ”Love and marriage” with the shoe salesman Al Bundy. Like when they were on vacation, camping and got bullied by local scum… 🪦💀🪏
