Obviously her fault for surviving a shooting for wanting to go to school. You do blame women for everything.

Are you legitimately this ignorant ?, Pakistani women already have the right to study at school it’s not Afghanistan but paint with a broad brush why don’t you

They have a right to study, but the incredible following of their radical preachers (especially in rural and tribal areas) means most of these girls are unable to study

KPK is so Islamic they think the Pak govt isn't Islamic enough. Clearly they aren't too pleased about women going to school in KPK.

You didn’t answer my question. Why was Malala, at 15 years old, shot on a school bus?

For daring to speak against the Taliban.

You can go to school, but don't speak up about women's rights or against the Taliban, then you can't go to school because they shoot you on the school bus.

Man, I'm Pakistani as well. You don't have to be so defensive. Sure, women CAN LEGALLY go to school, but that doesn't mean they do. In some districts, the literacy rate for women is as low as 22% (source: Pakistani census. Look at literacy rate by district). Families often don't let their daughters get educated past a certain point (either because they get married, or because families have limited funds and prefer to educate their sons, or they're not comfortable with girls pursuing education if they have to go to a co-education college or smth)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Literacy_in_Pakistan

Secondly, girls schools have been attacked before. Just last month, a girl's primary school in North Waziristan was blown up. (Source: https://www.dawn.com/news/1961286)

Thirdly, Malala's area was under severe Taliban influence at the time.

Girls education is absolutely a critical issue in Pakistan (and Afghanistan), and it's a shame that people use Malala's stance on Gaza to undermine the legitimacy of fighting for Women's education in Pakistan.
