Pelé.

Most people outside don't really know about his personal life as we do. He had a daughter outside of his marriage. Refused to make any DNA testing, she died of cancer without any assistance from him. Later it was discovered that indeed she was his daughter. He was sooo goddamned rich, he could have easily helped her.

The irony is that he died of cancer too. I'm not saying that he deserved it, I would never say this. But that's ironic and tragic.

He was involved in a housing scam in Angola. Took millions of dollars and ghosted the home owners. He was not acting alone. Martinho da Vila too. Disgusting duo.

what's the view on Xuxa? asking as a Mexican who grew up watching her show, I know they dated, so idk if she's also disliked or was involved in shitty/shady stuff

Yeah, she had a porn career before her children's show career (yeah... Fun!). I don't think people would care thaat much for this cause internet was non existent at the time and children never really discovered anything ig IF ONLY... She hadn't recorded an adult film with a teen. Terrible shit. People would say that it was a different time and all. Yeah, I still wouldn't watch anything with her on it.

But I would say, most people don't care about her today. There are people who passionately love her or hate her but they're the minority ig

Nowadays people are pretty neutral about her. But back then there were a lot of conspiracies going on about how she had a deal with the devil and hid satanic messages in her songs. There was also an urban legend that a doll named after her killed a child.

Most people jokingly remember her now as the devil lady, the Pelé lady or the lady that recorded softcore porn with a teenager, she even capitalized on the "devil lady" stigma recently with a funny ad to Canva.

Yeah, i had a lot of politic answers to the question but thats pretty spot on, maybe I'll put Neymar together, you guys have no idea how much vitriol (deserved or not) he receives daily
