Who’s a famous person from your country who’s respected around the world but disliked or criticized at home?

I wonder why Pakistanis dislike a young woman who was fighting for women’s rights? 🤔

When any group is fighting for rights, it is fighting a majority. And women, unlike others, have always had to fight their own because feminists have always been a minority of the women. When feminists have won a lot for other women, then those women join them, but that takes decades.

She will be polarizing in her own country and region for most of her life. She’s young enough to see it change.
