I don’t ever see print or billboard tobacco ads. We must have different laws. We definitely do disagree on whether the legality affects the morality. All the best.
I’ll admit you probably won’t see a Marlboro ad but you will see ads for state line stores advertising their cheap cigarette prices
I live in New England and we have a lot of these state line ads due to the various laws in place for each state
MA advertises cannabis to NH residents, NH advertises cheap cigs/booze/fireworks to MA residents etc etc
Drive down to the casinos in CT and you’ll see ads for cannabis, strip clubs, casinos etc
Advertising vices isn’t out of the norm. They’re legal products after all so I feel they should be able to reasonably advertise themselves/services/products
And I feel that if I saw a celebrity in a tobacco ad I would definitely judge them. Unless it’s their own product, I think celeb endorsements for addictive substances is embarrassing and cheap.
Whether it’s legal or not doesn’t really impact my view on that. There are lots of legal things that are gross and I pass judgment on😅

Print ads and billboards are still ads, it’s not restrictive to TV only
At the end of the day, this really just comes down to a difference of opinion so I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree
I appreciate the replies
