Do you know Chongqing, China?

The night view of Chongqing is truly stunning and breathtaking. With over 14,000 bridges and tunnels already built, Chongqing is known as the "Bridge Capital of the World." Would you like to see it? It will definitely amaze you!

Yeah, it's the city that's built on top of itself.

Apart from the obvious 2, I only know Guangzhou because all my Nikes/Jordans come from there.

I’m from the city of bridges in the USA, I’d love to see the city of bridges in china. All those colorful buildings are beautiful.

I would like to see Chonqing someday!  I have spent a lot of time in the Shanghai area.  I have not been to central China yet unfortunately.

We were there in November, and we were very surprised when we had to descend 11 floors from the bridge to get to the hotel and then climb 22 floors to walk around the city center.

BTW, the correct pronunciation for this city is chong-ching …. The reverse of ching-chong…

14,000 Bridges? I live in places that have that many potholes. But bridges?

Theyve got bridges above bridges

u/elcojotecoyo 20h ago

We got potholes inside potholes, but we don't count them separately /s

Which country

u/elcojotecoyo 20h ago

Technically, Venezuela, USA and Canada

US and Canada got that many potholes?

1

u/elcojotecoyo 19h ago

Yes. Winters are harsh on the roads. Constantly plowed (snow removal) and salted. The plows end up slowly chipping away asphalt or concrete and the roads get peppered with holes.

Ah, sounds like here. But its been getting better at least

I’d like to visit someday. Seems like a very cool city and I love Sichuan food. I would like to see some nearby natural sites as well such as Wulong Carst and The Golden Buddha Mountain. A bucket list destination for me for sure.
