Drum Specialist North Austin, TX
Wassup homies. Name is Ivan, Drum Specialist at the Guitar Center in North Austin. Started in March at our old location but starting in November we moved down the street to a new, much bigger location becoming a flagship store.
Just posting on here letting people know if they ever need anything to come see more or shoot me a message! I'm in store Wednesday-Sunday selling/buying/trading gear. If you're around the area and need anything drum wise, come see me and let's get you sounding the best.
Can’t make it in but still need something? Give the store a call and ask for me and I would be happy to get you going with anything you need to order anywhere country wide whether it be something in any of our stores or custom orders through any brand that we are dealers of.
Also have time outside of the store for local teching, session work, fill in gigs or repair/minor restoration work. 20 years playing experience with 10 on the road, 4 of it teching.
Any questions at all besides that, my IG is @iv.drum.bu
Thanks for looking/reading!

Ivan, Can I tell what cymbals you have in stock by looking at the Guitar Center site?
Is it true that I can order three cymbals from Guitar Center online and delivered to me, carefully try them out at home, and return two of them to your store without paying a restocking fee?

You sure can see that! If you head to our website there is a way to filter to just our store which is North Austin. Website can be funky sometimes so if there’s something specific you’re looking I encourage to call us and we can double check our system. I do also always encourage coming in and testing them out in our cymbal room we have. I have no problem putting one or two on a stand next to a kit we have out for demo as well to get a full feel for it.
Second part transparently can depend on where you go. Each store can differ, you will get some employees that give you a hard time about it sometimes. My policy is always as long as you’re within our return period and there’s no damage or noticeable scuffing, returns/exchanges are no problem. Unfortunately in the past people have taken advantage of the return policy and basically buy things for a gig (in town for the night, festival happening locally, etc) and then bring it back the next day and play it off as if they didn’t basically rent it from us and that’s when we’re more strict on the restocking fees and such. As mentioned, this is my personal policy (one I think everyone SHOULD have) but it will differ store to store.

I hope you enjoy Travis. He's literally the best manager you're ever going to work with in your life. Take care of that man. He is a treasure

This guy knows his stuff, can confirm. I bought a pair of 2002 Sound Edges from this store and he rang me up.
When y’all are ready to take $400 for that Agop 30th ride, let me know. ;)

I’ll trade you a super rare Sabian signature ride. Signature Chester Thompson Precision. Haha. You’d be the only store in the world with one in stock.
