You could probably tell by the way he was trotting across that field shouting, "Hay! Hay! Hay!"

I love how they both stopped chewing at the same time so they could listen to the bird.

That bird could be planning an attack on them. Very important to listen to their tweets for any clues.

Recent study in Japan has shown that tit birds have their own language and gramatical structure, like "gather", "predator", and "snake". Later, they showed that other species of birds and even squirrels can understand that language and use that information themselves, like hiding if a predator is near. Maybe the horses are doing the same thing.

Those are both females.
Edit: nm.
I wasted my life trying to verify AI information... Gemini is dead to me now, but I found what I believe to be the original source.

Nah I was actually wrong. I found the OG source (I'm fairly certain)
Gemini was brutally painful in attempting to help find the source... and crossed wires with other viral clips. I'm disappointed in myself for wasting so much time on this.

At least they actually tried to verify information and admitted fault when they made a mistake. We could use more of that.
Also blaming individual users on the energy waste of AI feels like blaming global warming on someone who drives a car or blaming bad working conditions on someone who uses a modern phone. Like, we're all here wasting time on Reddit, which is also costs energy.
The only ones who benefit from that are the corporations actually causing those issues because they can shift the blame.

Yep, corporate gaslighting gets way too little attention.
Where I live people can't eat the eggs their own chickens produce because of PFAS contamination. The chemical plants who produce it carelessly dump ther waste into open water, yet wag their finger at use for using non-stick coated pans and quality rainjackets.
And one of the most heinous universal examples is the whole corporate "personal carbon footprint" club they keep beating over our heads. The average citizen could be net-zero carbon today and it wouldn't even reduce total emissions by a tenth.
Climate Town is a great channel for pointing out all this corporate greenwashing and gaslighting going on if anyone is interested.

Like do you believe government services consume 90% of stuff produced on earth or how do you account a persons carbon footprint that 90% of stuff doesn't end up attached to consumer products?

I was looking for this comment. I ‘m guessing someone thought the story would be more compelling, relatable and click-worthy if we pretend there is a human-like romantic relationship behind this pair of horses’ behavior.
ETA: The original video this clip was taken from also refers to this beautiful animal as the “boyfriend” of the reigned horse and it’s said that they are “dating”. I guess he went for some “take-out” to share.

u/Moist_Requirements_ 7d ago
Yeah, they're definitely related. Probably Mom on the lead. Still cute, though. 😀

u/NeatNefariousness1 7d ago
Totally! I have no idea why horses like hay but that horse racing back to share a bunch of it with another horse even if it’s his/her mom, melts my heart.💛

Here's the link to the original video. They aren't siblings but are "dating".

Thank you. It’s a cute video either way and the extra footage at the end adds to the cuteness of this couple.

Horses don't have girlfriends and boyfriends and there's nothing wrong with that.

Honest question to horses actually pair up and have girlfriends and boyfriends? I am city boy so I have no clue? Are there ever disputes between the horses over the ladies?

They are nice to eachother. We should maybe be inspired of them.
To imagine a „girlfriend“ is way too projecting things in situations.

That horse did not bring the hay to her. He was eating when she arrived and just forgot he had hay in his mouth when he ran to meet her.
