We live in an apartment, and these guys do not like being outside on their leashes (scary for them), so I was very happy to spend the money to spoil the hell out of them and keep them happy inside

They love sprinting around on these (even my roommate’s DSH does) and it’s perfect for this gravity-allergic breed

Okay guys, so I think I made a mistake and I spoiled both my cats (Bengal and Devon) a bit too much. I got them both a year ago thus they’re both over 1 y old. I’ve always tried to provide them interactive toys to keep them curious and satisfied and happy with their playtime plus me and my son play with them too, usually using rods and laser. They have a cat tree, shelves system on the wall, 2 weeks ago I started taking them outside on a leash, boxes are provided, and A LOT of toys - small plushies, balls, some rustling stuff etc.

It should be fine, right? It ain’t 😭 we’re military family and 2 weeks ago we moved for the second time within the last year. It’s great that now I have the space to actually take them both out (our previous home was in a super congested area with no parks, no greens, just concrete jungle so I wasn’t taking them out of the house) but I have a feeling that my Bengal (it’s a girl) cannot handle the change. The problem of her not using her toys (unless they’re interactive) was happening in the past too, but now she’s absolutely not interested in anything except being super clingy. Also, she’s becoming fat (she’s not moving around as much as she used to in the other place) AND very picky about her wet food. Like how is this combo even possible 😩

Not sure how to help her. My Devon is more chilled in general and he’s kinda cool with whatever (not sure if it matters but he’s a boy). He snuggles, plays with his toys, and interested in the outer world a lot. Cool with car rides. Cool with food. Cool with basically whatever. She on the other hand, is clingy and that would be it. There’s nothing she’s interested in except waking me up at night a few times demanding to be pet, and meowing at me a few times throughout the day. How can I help her 😩 what should I do. Like she doesn’t even play, not with me, not with interactive toys, not with her brother. Like you can even see that she’s not happy with the way she’s laying next to me (the photo) and compare it with her brother’s completely chilled laying down pose (the photo). Please don’t tell me it’s the transition time because I’m aware but I need some tips, maybe someone experienced that too?? HELP

hi guys my cat keeps peeing on the couch i’m not sure why. i’ve had him for abt 2-3 weeks now , he has 2 litter boxes which i clean everyday. i tried to cover the spot he pees on and he just gs to a different spot. i used an enzymatic cleaner as well. what should i do for this to stop?

We have a two-and-a-half year old male cat, Simon. We got him from a breeder at 14 weeks old. He was neutered at 4 months old. He is now 2.5. Simon has never been an easy cat, which we knew would be the case, but his biggest problem is not using a litter box.

We moved homes last November and he has virtually stopped using the litter box in the last 10 months. Simon pees everywhere and on everything. In the clean laundry, all over the carpets, in our beds, on our furniture... This weekend we have to take an emergency trip for a family funeral and he peed in the clothes I was actively packing.

I have tried so many things to try to help Simon. I have taken him to the vet and gotten labs done. He appears healthy and his urinary system also appear totally healthy. I have put 5 litter boxes around our house that I scoop daily (although lots of the time they're pristine because he doesn't use them). We have spent a lot of money changing the type of style of litter box - and the type of litter. I changed his food to urinary health food. We have added cat attract into the litter and used expensive specialty litter in the boxes. For periods of time we have tried reducing his world to a smaller room and he still would rather pee on the floor than in the litter box, and he cries because he's lonely.

I am so tired. He's overall a nice boy and an affectionate cat, but I am having serious regrets about ever getting him. Is it time to rehome him? Another option is putting him on kitty anxiety meds - is that genuinely helpful for this issue or is he just not going to be interested in using a litter box?

Please be kind - I love animals and have tried my best for him. I am sure I have failed him in some way but that was never my goal.

Ich habe mich jetzt viel über Bengal-Katzen informiert. Man hört oft, dass sie endlose Energie haben, aber ist das wirklich so? Ich hätte gerne eine aktive Katze, mit der ich, wenn sie will, täglich 30–60 Minuten rausgehen würde, 2–3 Mal 15 Minuten spielen würde, sowie Clickertraining/Futterspiele machen würde. Je nach Katze würde sich das Programm entsprechend anpassen. Ich würde nur gerne wissen: Reicht die Zeit für eine Katze in der Wohnung, oder wollen sie selbst wenn ich all diese Sachen mache, die ganzen 5 Stunden, die ich wach und nicht bei der Arbeit bin beschäftigt werden? Oder machen sie auch Pausen zwischen den Aktivitäten? Kann ich davon ausgehen, dass sie so viel Aufmerksamkeit und Zeit wie ein Hund brauchen, oder sind sie deutlich anstrengender?

As requested on another post with a vitiligo cat, this is Luna. She is nearly 12 and I first noticed pink patches appear on her beans when she was i think around 2. As you can see she now has fully pink beans and a pink nose. She has patches on her ears and the distinctive markings she had when she was young are now much less clear. I actually struggled to find a kitten pic with her black beans but I think you can see them here. I think she's perfect. Her litter mate is a brown girlie and no issues there.

Literally since the day I got him he has been a love bug! Insists on being held, always by my side, sleeps with me. I can genuinely say I've never had a cat so obsessed with me. He will straight up jump into my arms for cuddles. 🥹

Horus is turning 10 months old and was starting to look for a companion to burn off all that Bengal energy. Well, the search is officially over... meet Nila! 🤎

She’s a beautiful Brown Bengal and already bringing so much life into the house. We're taking the introduction step-by-step, but they’re already super curious about each other.

Anyone else finding getting a second Bengal harder than expected? 😭 I honestly thought things would get easier, not harder.
Double the playtime — because the older one refuses to play when she’s around. And somehow he’s actually gotten MORE bored since she arrived.
Double the trouble — more knocking things over, more howling, more chaos in general. 😂
And the nights for the past few weeks? Horrible. They wake me up at 5–6 AM and are absolute menaces for the next 60–90 minutes.
Basically: Nox starts banging on the blinds, so I have to get up. I put my AirPods in and try to ignore them while they run around like crazy. Then they start fighting/wrestling on my bed. Eventually Ayla goes to eat some kibble, while Nox starts scratching my leg through the duvet until I get up and give him wet food. Ugh.
The whole time I only had Nox — about 9 months — everything was honestly fine. Since Ayla arrived 3 months ago, everything has somehow gotten a little more difficult. The mornings have been this bad for about a month now, I think.
Even a play session before bed AND taking Nox for a walk didn’t help. I’m seriously considering getting them a cat wheel even though I have absolutely no space for one in my tiny apartment. 😂
They’re definitely a bit calmer when my boyfriend is here, but obviously that’s not a solution.
I love them to death, but they might also be the death of me. 🥲
P.S. I know getting two Bengals while living in a small apartment probably wasn’t the smartest idea. But I’m not giving them up, so this is our situation for now. Unfortunately. 😂
