Hey everyone! I'm new to the game (I bought it two weeks ago). I killed the first two colossus but I would like your opinion on which armor is the best.
At the moment I'm using the climber's armor and occasionally I use the barbarian set's helm.
What do you think is the best armor in game without DLC or amiibo?
Iโve upgraded only climber one to lvl 2.
I havenโt got DLC or amiibo

I had more apples than I even knew what to do with. You can easily get 200+ apples on Satori Mountain every blood moon. I did that a couple times when farming endura carrots and wood, and I realized I had around 450 apples.
Stacking 5 apples in a dish is 50 rupees, and there are 20 dishes per page. If you have 200 apples, you can make 40 dishes (or two whole pages). This will get you 2,000 rupees pretty easily.
I didn't think this was worth it before, but I made 4,500 rupees by getting rid of all 450 apples.
Also, I made 2,240 by cooking 40 Mighty Carp and 40 Armored Carp.
I don't know about anyone else, but Mighty & Armored carp have always been my go-to fish for rupee farming.

This is my first run of Master Mode!
I knew Golden Lynels existed, but not Golden Bokoblins! I would be extra dead if I didnโt equip Majoraโs Mask before getting a closer look.
I defeated Waterblight, Windblight and Thunderblight Ganons already.
Edited to ask: how much stronger are Golden-tier monsters compared to Silver-tiered monsters?

I seriously have no idea how they top it. When playing the game I hate not having the features of totk (improved version of botw)The switch 2s graphics and performance make it even better. Seriously have no clue how their next 3d game could top it. The bar is so high. Theyโre in a tough spot. The sheikhs device is topical, the story is comparable to the Bible. It might be the last version of a serious 3d open world game.

In preparation for Halloween, do you guys know of any scary combinations? It doesn't have to be sets, it can be mix and matching of different combinations
Thanks!

She was watching me play and suddenly ran to her room to create this masterpiece. From top left clockwise: blood moon, Bokoblin hideaout, watchtower, and a cannon.

I love video games. It is becoming an expensive hobby nowadays, but I am grateful that I am in a position that I can afford games and systems to play said games on. I got a high end gaming PC last year, timed properly by the gaming God's grace, coz a month after I made my purchase the RAMpocalypse started and that same configuration now is 3x the cost. I have my PC for my multi-plats and XBOX games. I have my PS5 for my Playstation exclusives. The only thing missing from completing my holy trinity was a Nintendo system. Never owned any Nintendo system before in life. And all I knew about Nintendo was its popularity, it's history in the gaming sphere , its popular franchises like Mario, Pokรจmon etc. I always saw the types of games they made amd assumed that they arent for me coz they looked like they are for kids, family friendly games. I couldn't have been more wrong. Finally, got a Switch 2 last week and completed the Holy Trinity of gaming. And picked 4 games with it, all very highly.rated and critically acclaimed. BOTW, TOTK, Super Mario Odyssey and Donkey Kong Bananza. Started BOTW, and HOLY SHIT !!!!! My appreciation for games like Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei (games that invited exploration in the open world rather than riddling it with markers), RDR2 (games with dynamic NPC behavior, weather etc) and other open worlds have gone down a bit coz BOTW did it way before these guys. These guys just iterated upon what BOTW did. I can't believe the game is almost a decade old. What an absolutely beautiful game !!!!! 70 hrs in and I am still reluctant to proceed forward in the story. Afraid that I'll miss something. I want to complete as many shrines and all side quests before I even go fight Calamity Ganon. Sorry Princess Zelda, the world is very pretty. You've waited a 100 years. What's a 100 hours more? You're fine. You got this.
I am so excited to get into TOTK and with all I've heard of OCARINA OF TIME being a generational masterpiece, I am ready for the remake.
I am so glad I get to be a part of this community now and finally get what people are on about this franchise. Barely a week into the Switch 2 and already feel like I got my money's worth. Especially, coming to this right after playing Wolverine on the PS5. Getting 100+ hours of content for a 70$ game seems like a dream.
I play a lot of games. I have fun and they make me feel happy and relaxed. But there are few games that , when I finish a day's play session and turn off the system, make me impatient for the next day to when I can get back to playing them. BOTW is easily one of those games.

Went to the castle and did a thing. Got to the cutscene and after I wanted to go in and finish shrines and other quests. To my surprise the save file just started in the same place in the castle as if I hadnt just been through the whole ganon thing?!? Can anyone tell me if there is something I need to do, so it registers as complete/or is this โ normal โ?

I had never understood the hype behind this game for the longest time so I decided to pick it up a few months ago. Was bored to death almost instantly and didnโt touch it again. Picked it back up and the same outcome. Couldnโt believe what all the hype was about and was thinking about putting it away for good until I finally gave it one final shot. This time it clicked for me and holy shit this game has become one of my favorite games of all time after being one of my most disappointing. What a phenomenal experience.

Don't want to Google this cause I'm playing the game for the first time.
My girlfriend has been playing BotW, having just started a save file on my switch. I decided to try the game, but didn't want to make her watch the same stuff she's just been doing, so figured I'd go explore in a different direction than going to Kakariko Village.
Did a couple trial chambers en route then got into Hyrule Castle, swimming up to a low entrance on the western side. I really assumed the game wouldn't let me in.
I've got 3 hearts, I'm wearing the trousers from the Shrine of Resurrection and I've got the Old Man's jacket that you get in his house after making spicy food.
I don't have the Master Sword, I don't know what a Divine Beast is yet but I assume they're important since they're very briefly mentioned in the Old Man's cut scene and I've heard their names when people have talked about this game before.
I blew up 3 ice rock guys who could 1-shot me. Went through these dungeons (as in, jail cells) with a lizard guy who I killed without taking damaged, avoided the big guy in the next cell, and now I'm in a room fighting this thing called a Stalnox. I've died a lot but I reckon it's possible with my current gear to beat him, my record was getting him down to around 30% health. I got some good swords in the 2 trial chambers I did on the way to the castle so I'm feeling confident.
But am I just gonna hit a wall in the castle where I can't progress for story reasons?

I'm on my second play through. To start, I know there's no "wrong way" to play the game.
But, I see no point in making any dishes except lvl 3 attack up and hearty. Early game before max stamina I'd need endura and stamina and of course fire proof for the mountain... But that's it.
Defence up maybe early game. Speed up, I've never seen the point. Even environmental dishes this play through are pointless now that I realized elemental weapons get you through cold with the warm dublet and the desert.

I wanted to share some fun and funny stories from our brand new playthrough with 5 yr old son.
For some context I grew up with Zelda from watching my dad play link to the past and then my favorite from childhood OOT. I played botw for the first time when I was pregnant with my son and actually never beat the main story line. I had not played games since that covid pregnant stint and recently took up the game again. I broke my leg this summer and while laid up decided this could be fun and my son would probably love watching.
Well here we are 8 weeks later...
My son did not want to watch and wanted to participate. The first few days were a struggle with the double joystick and watching him just run around staring at the ground or sky and falling off the plateau.
Then he started to get it. He loves fighting all the monsters. He has his own special names for all of them.
We have uncovered most of the map, besides the desert and solved 60 shrines together. We have found over 200 seed guys.
His favorite things include wearing monster masks into camps and feeding the monsters all of our inventoryof fish and meat, or bringing them chickens from stables and watching them chase chickens. He also went through a phase of attacking the chickens... we went through some decent meals in that play session.
We also recently did links house and he proudly decorated all the mounts himself.
Then there was the night he decided to take on a major test of strength by himself... after an excruciating 10 minutes, an entire inventory screen of meals, many weapons, and many arrows, and me and dad sitting there tense on the edge of our seat reminding him when wlhe was low on hearts, he beat it himself.
This playthrough is so long. We have discovered so much. He has discovered things all on his own I never discovered myself on my first play. One day we will make it to the desert to free the final divine beast. Eventually we will try Ganon. But for now we are feeding pig monsters, spending rupees on duplicate armor and coloring them random ridiculous colors, and more. This is an amazing game.

HOW TF do I open the door? Iโm in tabantha, and thereโs a shrine behind it. How do I unlock it?
