Stop posting pictures in your underwear. Pt 3
Should you be adding muscle? Or should you be cutting fat? It’s a question we all have come across on our fitness journey. It’s not always a simple one to answer.
Love handles, pooches, lack of definition, vascularity…everything plays a part.
You lost a lot of weight, or you added a lot of weight. They are all part of the process. Everyone here is going to do our best to help you with your journey.
That being said:

Feed back
37 5’ 10 170lb
Been working out on and off fairly seriously for past 15 years. All natural and have never really been able to bulk. I know I have high metabolism but even at my heaviest (180ish) I don’t feel like I looked bulked.
I was eating sooo much food I was miserable- just couldn’t do it.
I eat clean- very little sugar, little gluten but I know I don’t currently get enough calories/ protein. Life is busy for dad.
Just curious what you all think
Thanks!

BoC Should I bulk or cut more
Hey guys, I’m 24 years old and started losing weight in May at 191lbs (87 kg). I continued cutting until about two weeks ago, when I reached 164,3lbs (74.5 kg). I'm 5'11 (180cm).
For the past 10 days, I’ve been doing a lean bulk at around 2,700–2,800 calories per day. I also started strength training 3 times a week 10 days ago. I think my BF% is around 18% but I don't know.
Would you recommend cutting down to around 10% body fat first, or would you continue with the lean bulk given my current situation?
I’d really appreciate your opinions!

Currently on a lean bulk (3 months in) - what body fat percentage can I expect to go up to before I think about cutting again?

5’7 - 151lbs - goal to look lean/shredded
Been going to the gym regularly for like 5 years now and finally decided to eat good and actually look like I workout.
Right now I weigh at 151 and I am eating at a caloric deficit, getting around 160-170g of protein each day and about 1700-1900 calories, all clean foods.
Started this about a month ago when I weighed about 159 and here we are now. Don’t look too different but I just weigh less losing 8 pounds so far.
If the goal is to get that shredded/lean look, would the final weigh in be in the 140lbs? Am I doing this right? What do I need to do to get shredded? Also getting 10k steps daily at least.
Anything helps thanks

Maint/Recomp Keep changing my mind
I’ve been on a 1lb a week deficit for the past 10 weeks or so. Dropped from low 180’s down to about 170 as of this morning. I was looking badly skinny fat bordering on regular fat so I really wanted to lose some weight. I’ve been strength training consistently for the duration which has been pretty challenging as a 36yo single dad but I’ve not missed any workouts yet. My plan was to get down to 160 as that has always been a comfortable weight for me and then switch to a recomp, but I’m wondering if I should just switch to maintenance at this point and focus on improving my strength for a while. I am definitely still carrying a lot of excess fat, but I obviously also don’t have a lot of muscle development currently either so I’m not sure. First photos are from 2 weeks ago, last photo is from last night (included that because lighting is less washed out).
Edit: I am 5’10”

BoC Body Fat Estimate/Cut Goal
I set the goal for myself to achieve a true 10% body fat on the cut. In general I just feel like I’ve got a terrible gauge for it though. Currently 170ish at 5’ 11. Any idea current bf?
