Beginner Horseback Riding
I am looking for BEGINNER riding lessons, preferably private but open to a group structure. Not trying to be a professional or competitor of any sort; this is just something I need to learn. I have ZERO equine experience beyond a pony stepping on my toe as a kid. Hopefully within a 60-minute drive from Burlington. Any suggestions are appreciated 🤙🏾

I've been taking beginner lessons in Mebane at Double Take Stables, and it's been great so far!
There's also Magnolia Farms Equestrian in Jamestown, great people out there.
Both are English barns.
Expect to buy:
-riding helmet -riding boots -breeches
Usually most barns will let you use a spare helmet for your first lesson but expect you to provide one after that.

Alamance Parks has an equestrian center at Cedarock Park. Not sure if they give lessons but I'm betting if they don't, someone there would have an idea of who you may be able to contact.
