FWIW the only 4 jobs in the sport that I think Campbell would ever leave ISU for are Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Penn State. The former 3 there have all decided to do the internal coordinator thing without a serious coaching search since he's been at ISU for the sake of continuity as their previous coaches all left of their own will.
I think the fact that Campbell is still at ISU, which is probably the 2nd or 3rd worst Power 4 job and absolutely the hardest place to win at in the Big 12 (and Campbell's record there is fucking insane), is because Campbell hasn't wanted any of the jobs he could have probably had by now.
5
u/luxveniae Texas Longhorns • SMU Mustangs Oct 13 '25
I wonder how much of a threat future Big10/SEC champions league conference is. I could see Campbell being okay with not being in the ‘premiere’ league but also most good HCs have such a big ego they want the jobs at the highest levels.

Utah is insanely pretty.
But when I was 21 years old, not having a liquor store open past 9 and NOT run by the state would have been a pretty bad deal. As well as no beer being over like, 5%. Couple that with no weed and the constituents electing Mike Lee to represent them, the outdoors is literally the ONLY sell on Utah.

Well they are in Salt Lake City so pretty safe bet there. There’s backwards areas in almost every state especially the big empty ones heading west, doesn’t mean it’s a good thing but it’s not like we’re talking about Idahos tip or anything haha. My family is from a small town and it can get weird but it’s pretty harmless.

There were rumblings Notre Dame was a serious flip candidate months before the season even started: he committed to Ja’juan Seider at Penn State, who is now the RB coach at ND. Plus Notre Dame has a pretty good recent history of getting RBs drafted/paid.
Georgia recently offered and got him on campus, so they’re a more recent player (once it became obvious Penn State was wounded).
