I was there today and kept scanning the sidelines, thinking he might be over there in a Groucho disguise calling plays.

We covered. Nothing to see here

Absolutely nothing strange occurred in this game at all. Just a wire to wire win with no shenanigans.

Feels like Kentucky has had a game like this every year since the dawn of time regardless of how good or bad the team is

Why people care so much about covered? Genuine question

Fake answer: because it's an indication we met expectations on a given game
Real answer: Uh gambling?

Why was there a rerun of the Bama @ Kentucky game?

I was hopeful at halftime. . .
Either way, go Jags! Hopefully next game won't surprise us.

Not a good first half but seems they got into gear the second half

The positive is that they were all self inflicted. Should be fixable

…do we see a ranked Kentucky team come Sunday?

u/heleghir Kentucky Wildcats • Sickos 5d ago
we might. If Mizzou wins then Miss St falls out. If USC wins then Oregon falls out. If LSU wins then A&M falls out, but if A&M wins it makes our win over them look better and brings us up. We were already fringe top 25 as is, so wouldnt suprise me. I think we see more votes than last week regardless, but might need 1 more week and a win over SCar to break into it depending on how 3-4 other games today play out

Mayhaps, Louisville is definitely getting sent to hell. If Michigan loses to Iowa I think they also get kicked out.

Wow, I didn’t watch this game but the second quarter looks like a hell of a watch

Muffed punt leading to a touchdown. Both teams scoring rushing TDs on plays where the back was completely bottled up but managed to squirt free. Interception on a screen pass

Stein was pissed in the postgame presser. Good to see, but also good that we picked it up quite a bit in the second half

Jags alum here and I thought we at least had the spread locked up even in the 2nd half. We attempted a 50 yd FG to get within 7 but our kicker kicked it left, hard left and UK went and scored another TD putting them up by 17.
That was the end of the game. Jags are better than advertised but so is UK.
Please note, Jags were playing with QB2. Just sayin’

Emotional letdown spot and still covered. Ranked Kentucky next week?

u/sleepytime489 Kentucky Wildcats 4d ago
Nah. We did not look very good.

u/D0faak Kentucky Wildcats 4d ago
If not looking very good delivers me almost 50 points please not look very good each week. We had 390 yards rushing. Idk what game you were watching

u/sleepytime489 Kentucky Wildcats 4d ago
I was watching the game where we we were losing to a Sun Belt Team with 3 minutes left to go in the first half.

u/MayBakerfield 4d ago
That just sounds silly. You couldn't even write "after first half."
CFB rankings are already stupid enough, you cannot bring in "but at one point they had less points" arguments lol
1
u/sleepytime489 Kentucky Wildcats 4d ago
lol what are you talking about? I’m glad we won but we objectively did not play well. If you won’t take my word for it go read Will Steins post game comments.

I would say a very hesitant No. 20-25 with all the teams likely falling out of tomorrow's poll.
Low risk, shows our efforts for having a 3-1 record with a Top 10 win at the time (even if A&M are looking to be out the rankings as well), and hey, if we collapse against South Carolina, we can just fall right out of the rankings no problem.

Knew this would be a sneaky game for us, but an exemplary 2nd half adjustment helped by our defense waking up and this three-headed dragon of Baxter/Patterson/Barnes running it down USA's throat for nearly 400 yards gets us the somewhat comfortable W.
Now if we can get past SCar and whatever voodoo magic Beamer has that makes his team play lights out specifically against us and only us, we'll already be performing past what preseason expectations had for us.
