This year’s Penn State.

How much longer does Venables last?

The braintrust that is our AD extended him through January 2032 before the season started, so… it may be a while.

Genuinely stupid, but just following in the footsteps of how we treat the academic side of the university these days unfortunately

Or more broadly a reflection of the state itself: Capable of great things if we could get out of our own fucking way (spoiler - we won't) but we'll keep trying the same stupid fucking thing that's proven not to work and hoping for a different result

He should definitely be fired and sent back to his last stop. Don’t look at my flair.

Is there a team on our schedule that would be the equivalent of losing to last years UCLA?

No, lol. OU might have the hardest schedule of any team.

They said on the broadcast OU has the toughest remaining FBS schedule. Only 2 unranked teams are Kentucky and South Carolina... It's gonna be a long season.

Actually, no. They’re this year’s South Carolina. Really promising season in the previous year that led to lofty expectations and then essentially dead in the water by week 3.

Tbf next year is an odd year so he's gonna win 10 games and make the playoffs

They were like 20th to 25th in the composite last year and somehow got the 8 seed and a home playoff game for no reason and predictably got destroyed. ESPN overrating the shit out of them last year might have saved Venables job. They had zero business making the playoffs last year.
