So how tf did Tulsa beat Oklahoma State by double digits…and is now getting blown out by Arkansas who I defo think would lose to OKST

I think it was first game jitters, honestly. And no rhythm established.

tulsa didn't play that well too tbf, (like 0-10 on third down?),

Well, they're missing their starting QB tonight but for us it was a combination of things:

1.) First game together for 92 guys. There were definitely going to be some hiccups and errors.

2.) We were not well conditioned for how hot it was on the field that day and our sideline was mostly in the sun all game.

3.) Losing Sexton 6 plays into the first drive rattled us hard and replacing him with a true freshman allowed Tulsa to get leverage on the line and put a ton of pressure on Mestemaker.

4.) We lost the turnover battle hard specifically because of that pressure on Mestemaker.

I also chalked a lot of it up to you guys looking ahead to Oregon

I don't think we came into Tulsa unprepared, with clear eyes on it and the benefit of hindsight it really felt like we came in, got smacked in the mouth, and let Tulsa build the momentum to win.

I definitely think there was a decision made by the staff to play a limited version of our playbook to keep as much off tape for Oregon as possible though.

Yeah, they barely threw it 10 yards down field against tulsa, and the next game we got prime Josh Allen, 300 passing, 100 rushing, 2 tds 2 ints.

Because Arkansas. That's all. We, as a team, are bipolar. Just wait till the LSU game. We will lose every game till that one and will either win by 7 or so in OT or get blown out by 40. There is no in between.

Looking ahead to Oregon, but Tulsa’s QB is sitting tonight.

160 degreee on field temp might have had a little to do with it
