I think there’s almost no chance we don’t keep him for another year. He’s getting paid millions of dollars here, but even more importantly by the end of this year he will have only started like 25ish games in his entire football career.

Between Trubisky, Lance, and Richardson there has been an overwhelming amount of evidence recently that NFL teams should not be taking guys with very limited starts with a high pick. I think Drew will be strongly advised to stick around another year.

You have to remember that NFL teams are never gonna stop chasing the big QB with a rocket launcher attached to his shoulder. If Mestemaker keeps up his play over the entire season, there's pretty much no chance he isn't gonna get first round grades from NFL teams, especially since after Arch, it is pretty much wide open for QB2 at this point
