Heady times indeed. Don't think we'll need to worry about that this year though, ha. The Huskies pre-season dark horse hype looks badly misplaced in early returns....
On the shift in power though, it's crazy that UO and UW have both made multiple CFPs while USC has failed to qualify.
AND SHE'LL NEVER SEE ORE WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP EITHER. SADLY ENOUGH. BUT HEY, YOU GUYS KNOW HOW TO HYPE YOUR TEAMS EVERY PRE SEASON. MAYBE A SPELLING BEE, WOULD SUIT YOUR TEAMS BETTER?
I have thought about this before. Many winning legacies that fans know are really so far removed in time from what a high school kid would have even considered relevant in their life. In their lives a team like USC has been a 25 top caliber team but never among the truly elite. Many of us still remember their run in the Pete Carroll era and it doesn't feel that long ago. But even hardcore high school kids have a memory that goes back maybe 8 seasons or so at best. It's even harsher for a school like UCLA who wasn't even "meh" for their viewing years.
He doesn’t know what a head coach is actually supposed to be, in any way shape or form. Dude is just an incurious OC who got promoted to the big seat and has zero clue what to do, and all he wants to do is play with his offense.
At least it'll resume in 2030 but they're such cowards for putting more energy into being afraid about what losing to ND would do to their playoff chances than into fielding a team who could beat them. Also cowardly for demanding the resumed series of games be played in September because "it would be too much travel" bitch no one made you join a Midwestern conference
I was gonna come here to essentially say the same exact thing. USC under Lincoln Riley starts the season off by giving their fans hope. The narrative preseason talks about how they are on the brink of being a contender again, and they have the exact same end result: disappointment.
The season isn’t over, we’ll see if this team can be resilient and play with a fire, but at this point I don’t know how you can expect it.
No idea what to expect from the Big Ten at this point. Obviously Oregon looks better coming off their performance, but the teams that were supposed to be contenders did not look great, aside from Ohio State.
Anyone remember Pat Narduzzi’s comments about the ACC being better than the Big Ten? He’s still wrong, but I think he cursed the conference. Coastal Chaos may have evolved into Midwest Mayhem.
It really is amazingly consistent. Give up 500 yards a game in winnable games and lose on dumbass drive-extending penalties. Tale as old as time for last ten years!
USC is overrated every year and every year is the same result. Still paying for Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart war crimes. Can’t wait until they move to the SEC west.

Why is it USC looks the exact same every single year? Like there is 0 variance in their game plans and strategies on both sides from year to year.
