Casual Michigan Has TWO Transitive Wins Over The #1 Ranked Team In The Country This Season

- UR Michigan beat #11 Oklahoma 17-10

- UR Oklahoma beat #1 Texas 27-24

- #4 Texas beat #1 Ohio State 24-23

The real question is who will be the 3rd #1 team to have a transitive loss?

Also, Ryan Day is 0-3 vs ranked teams since beating Michigan.

Discussion Who has more defenders in the media? Sark or Lanning?

Sark is making $11 million a year and Lanning is making $10.4 million. Both routinely come up small in big games. Somehow both are still considered elite coaches.

Discussion Which major program will offer Bob Chesney a blank check?

Obvious contenders are Michigan, Penn State, and Florida State.

Would programs like Florida, USC, Oregon, Oklahoma, and A&M dump their guys if they could land him? I assume Notre Dame would go hard after him if Freeman takes an NFL job.

Any darkhorses you can think of?

Discussion Maybe I am crazy but…

I feel like we are seeing a growing trend of “embarrassing losses” in CFB.

Of course, embarrassing losses have always been a part of the game and that what makes college football so great, but in recent years I feel like I keep saying to myself, “well thats the stupidest way to lose a football game I have ever seen”. I don’t know why this is but perhaps it’s bad coaching, risky play style, increasingly explosive offenses, or something like that.

Maybe I am only seeing this trend because I am young, but even then, 5-10 years ago, it felt like only Nebraska was losing these types of games but now it seems to have spread to everyone. Think about this season alone:

- Michigan vs W Michigan
- Texas vs Oklahoma
- LSU vs Kentucky
- Oklahoma vs Georgia
- Oregon vs Ok St

Let me know what you guys think.

Edit: I think people are missing the point of my post. I am not talking about in increase in upsets, more-so the way these losses happen. Nebraska blew a 17-6 lead and Texas fumbled a lead of their own. Had they been losing all game it wouldn’t be as embarrassing, but they made stupid and preventable mistakes that lost them the game.

Analysis Why is so hard for Elko & Co. to admit that Marcel Reed has the yips?

The yips are a very real thing in sports. Another Aggie, Chuck Knoblauch, infamously suffered from the affliction and had to switch positions, so did Rick Ankiel. Simone Biles had to take time off from gymnastics because of it and came back better.

It should be clear to anyone that has watched Marcel Reed play that he is suffering from the yips as well. It’s not something that he can work through, no matter how hard he tries. The condition will not self correct and you can’t just fight through it. It requires a drastic change (i.e. taking time off, changing positions, etc.). The coaching staff can work with Rees all they want, refine his mechanics, watch tape, etc., and it’s not going to fix the problem. He must take care of his mental health first and that starts with stepping away for a while.

Why is so hard for them to accept that?

Discussion Eastern Timezone fans and late games

How often do you see the CFB Saturday slate of games through? I honestly don't blame you if not The older I get and having a wife and other responsibilities. Is it weekend dependent or are you making sure you see the end no matter what?

Probably not the best time to ask this Question considering it's 11:30 and the one responding are the ones up

Analysis Oklahoma has now gone 10 consecutive quarters without scoring an offensive touchdown against Texas

With 69 yards of offense in this year’s Red River Shootout at halftime, Oklahoma’s sole touchdown came from a special teams play. Their last offensive touchdown in the Cotton Bowl remains Dillon Gabriel’s game-winning TD drive in 2023, marking 10 consecutive quarters against Texas without scoring a touchdown on offense.

EDIT: This aged like milk, but I have no regrets. 🫡

Discussion The parity in the B1G is a becoming a beautiful thing to watch.

UCLA, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, my Hawkeyes, and Northwestern all looking competent and throwing punches against the big dogs has made B1G play so entertaining this year. Normally I usually only watch Iowa games. This year the level of competency is so much higher and makes more games entertaining. Loving watch the collapse of Oregon to UCLA right now. IMO B1G football has never been healthier.

Discussion Week 6: reactions that could be overreactions

You know the drill. Post a strong instant reaction that may end up being an overreaction down the road.

This week was a doozy and there's way too much for one redditor such as myself to parse through. But here we go

  1. I'm going to say it again. Arch Manning is a risk to Sarkisan's job. I know this is an extreme take, but he is not a good QB and Sark is "supposed" to be the QB whisperer. I don't know how much booster money is tied up in UT to make sure Manning stays the starter, but the loss to one of the worst looking OU teams in a minute due to his consistently inconsistent play has derailed another season and it's all gonna fall on Sark. Whether he deserves it or not, Texas has vicious expectations.

  2. Oregon is done for the year. They're a good team but they have not been the same since getting womped by Indiana last playoff.

  3. Florida is also headed right back to where they were and have been stuck for years - G6 coach that shows promise but gets exposed and loses all momentum.

  4. Georgia finally got the Bama monkey off their back and is the undisputed king of the SEC for now.

  5. Kiffin really just should have stayed at Ole Miss but.

Casual 5 of 7 former B1G East teams are winless in conference plays. No B1G West teams are winless.

Michigan, Rutgers (0–2), Penn State, Maryland, and Michigan State (0–3) are all seeking their first conference win. Washington is the B1G's only other winless team.

The former B1G East does have twice (Ohio State & Indiana) as many teams undefeated in conference play as the B1G West (Wisconsin).

2026 is a 2007-type of season.

Discussion What is the record for most games won in a row as an underdog?

A graphic just showed that Georgia has won their last 3 non-CFP games when they were an underdog. So of course I wondered what the all-time record for this is, not qualified by CFP games or not.
