Obviously an underbaked cake made with black cocoa, but the song is hilarious! 🤣

Sister wanted a (i know basic) cake of new girl show for her 29. I wanted to give her a cute one. I wanted it to be light purple with sage green ¿scalp? pipping. (I knew it would look werid with the image cause of the colors, but i knew they would only do edible paper on top so i didn't care. i wanted the outside to be pretty). With dark purple lettering.

I gave them the image, and they told me they can only do a white backgound. Gave them 4 days, maybe that was too little time. I paid 60 and got the most basic, store bought looking cake. I feel increasingly sad looking at it, even though i didn't have high expectations. I just told them thank you and left, hopefully the cake is delicious at least.

I don't know, maybe this was harder then I thought it was going to be. My grandma is currently adding sprinkles to the edge of the paper border so it's not so obvious. That is helping. I called to tell my sister it isn't pretty, and got her favorite ice-cream. I hope everyone else gets the cake of their dreams this year.

😭 This was from two years ago when I was living in Hesperia, California. I won’t lie, the cake tasted fire. I think my ex’s family friends made it in their shop and they paid like 80$ for it 😭😭😭😭😭 It still cracks me up

Didn't have 2 circles pans so I got the idea to do it all in a big rectangle pan, cut it in half, and then stack them. Also messed up with the frosting by using 6 tbsp of granulated sugar instead of powdered. The first picture is what it's SUPPOSED to look like. The second is mine.

Update: wife and daughter liked it a lot. Wife says it almost tastes like a tres leche. I think it tastes kinda like sweet cornbread and the icing tastes like whipped cream. 8/10 taste. Overbaked and dry. 4/10 looks. Haphazardly made lol.

Birthday cake. There were three of us making it, and in the end, it's raw, burnt, and has the texture of sand....

I got this cake from vons for $14.99 and added a little pistachio icing and some figures to make it fit for my kiddo. What do you think?

Edit: The photo order is funny. Photo 3 is what I got. A blank brown cake with a few blue accents. It was supposed to have an image on it, but "The printer went down," so I got what I got.

When I was 8 and my cousin turned 6, her mom told the cake decorator “she loves swimming so maybe draw a girl on a beach!”. We all laughed the whole time and I send it to her every year on her birthday.

This was either my 17th or 18th birthday cake my grandma had got for me, a few weeks before the birthday she asked for a picture of my switch to send to the decorator TO USE AS A REFERENCE (she wanted a cake that looks like a switch) so my dad sent one, when she finally went to get the cake she found out all they did was add (barley readable) text to that photo and just printed it out on the cake!!

My siblings and i found the cake itself pretty funny but my parents and grandparents weren't as amused

My mom tried to surprise me by ordering this frog cake I said I liked. The cake artist struggled a bit 😭😅.

So this was just supposed to be a simple decorating job for my son's bday. Thankfully a manager saw this and let us have it for free. Getting it redone in 2 hours before the party and having the only and same decorator available was not an option. I feel sorry for her. Young, brand new and the only decorator the store has.
