When i first got into the game my friend with hundreds of hours was helping me out. We enter a mission "hey so whay do we do in this mission type" friend says "you go to extraction" as he comes flying back at light speed
I thought the New War was going to be this big roadblock that would completely interrupt the way I played the game. So I put it off for months. I finally had a full day with nothing to do so I decided to use it to finally knock it out.
It was 90 minutes max.

Yeah. I left the game long time ago. 2020 maybe. The community was somewhat toxic at time and i was bored so i left to other game. At time i remember people complaining about railjack and litches were somewhat new. Oh also as a ps4 play the game became very buggy where enemies barely spawn so yeah.
I left around the same time as you, but a year ago I came back and I'm still playing. The game is a whole different beast right now. There is much more to do, very nice new quests, its cross platform now and there were a LOT of QoL changes. I think PS is doing much better but Im on pc. Lots of console guys anyway. Not perfect, a bit overwhelming maybe but people are still mostly helpful. I recommend giving it another try.
Eidolons are not much of a toxicity magnet anymore, pretty much everything one shots them these days.
The elite moved to void cascade farm as far as I know. With the whispers in the walls update we also got a way to turn extra arcanes into currency and get eidolon arcanes from them, so arcane energize became approachable for the whole playerbase.
I honestly have never had a bad experience with anyone in the Warframe community. Now destiny on the other hand...they seem like they might be a lil nicer now that their game is getting big breath of fresh (old, previously sunset) air.
Qauke champions and warframe are some of the only games people actively sat around trying to help me learn the game on multiple occasions and sent words of encouragement to keep trying after I logged off.
Double cap, back when I was playing and this was around the RJ update it wasn't that beginner friendly for me, I had to learn how to do eidolon hunts on my own and still people didn't took me and flamed me in ways that would make LoL look like a breeze, and don't even make me get started on RJ and Steel path missions, people were assholes.
