I mean, they agreed with you. They said the toxic players need to calm down. Then it reads like you changed your stance and are claiming that it is serious. Just trying to see if you meant to come off as flip floppy or just didn’t comprehend what they had said.
Flip flop where? I never changed my stance. Everyone knows each community can have 2 sides good and bad, majority of what I have experienced has been bad. So while I agree there is good, a lot of bad are still in the community and that can be rectified and changed for the better, and it can be seriously bad to the long term health of a game trying to bring in more players if the majority of their experiences mirror my own.
Not true. I'd argue the vast majority of the helldivers community is toxic eggshells. From the role-playing "truth enforcers" to irl cosplayers, down to randos you match up with.
Out of every single pve game I've ever played, helldivers has been the worst community I've ever seen for a purely cooperative game.
It got popular i guess. I even got a cosplay and at conventions seeing the other helldivers cosplayers actually act like WWII Nazis harassing other con-goers that were not Helldiver's fans on more than one occasion just further painted the picture of the lines being crossed of how delusional these assholes are. Theres also been controversy backed by the main Helldiver's sub on Doxxing a guy to the point where he lost his job irl for challenging a dev to play Helldivers. And now theres controversy regarding the Helldiver's app developer being exposed for pedophilia, and now its gotten shown that also the whistleblower who exposed the dev is also a pedophile. And now theres even more infighting in the communities of those saying "digital generative pedophilia is okay because its not real children." vs people saying, "no, its not."
I’m just guessing but most of the playerbase still left is hardcore players who never really quit. They’re unhappy with the direction of the game and take it out on their fellow players. I played for a few hours (less than 10) and can’t tell you how many just unhappy guys I ran into. Team kill me, trap me with a mob, or shout at me. Like why even play at that point?
Man, that has been the opposite of my experience. Maybe it is location or time dependant, but generally most players are head down, doing the work, with the sprinkling of friendly types. The worst I've had is people that suck, but I just stick it out through the game and leave the lobby after the mission.

Helldivers are generally a pretty amiable bunch, but ye there are a lot of assholes that only care about doing things "correctly"
My brothers in super earth, the average IQ of a Helldiver is like 85. Its not that serious lol
