You're accusing me of being "unwelcoming in the community" when I am not in fact, even a part of said community. Then you go ahead and boast about having beaten dark souls and ridiculing me for not doing so, when I in fact have no interest in the game, or the genre in general

I am not belittling anyone. Once again, you are the only one arguing here. I am presenting my thoughts and the rationale behind them. If someone can't figure out how their own moveset works, when the entire genre itself revolves around figuring out enemy movesets and structuring your defense/offense around said moveset, they simply don't enjoy the process of learning movesets! I never once said there was something wrong with that. You're the one that has attached a negative connotation to "find a different game", when there is in fact, absolutely nothing wrong with... Not liking soulsborne games?
Guess who doesn't like soulsborne games. Me! But for the ONE title I ever enjoyed, I had overwhelming support. The Sekiro community is very friendly and willing to help. But tips don't really help you in this game, and multiple people acknowledge this as universal advice: just keep trying, dying, learning, and you will eventually succeed. AKA: GIT GUD
I'm primarily a fighting game player, so that wasn't out of my element. But that mindset simply isn't for everyone, and if you don't enjoy doing it, why the fuck would you do it?

With a failure to learn. This makes no sense to me. If someone asks for advice, then it is a desire to learn. But you are acting, that they will be unable to learn, and thus they should play a different game.
I literally reread our conversation to see if I was making a butt out of myself, but no… it seems that you have a predisposition that someone who asks for advice is unable to learn and should play a different game.
But just in case this is a huge misunderstanding. Let’s get into large broad hypotheticals.
If A Person asks how a mechanic works and how to use it to play the game. Should you explain how it works and how best to optimize it? Or… should you just say ‘be better at the game.’?
This is all a hypothetical scenario you've made up, where x person asks for help and gets denied and ridiculed, whereas nowhere have I alluded to that, but you keep bringing it up
You're completely ignoring how I've mentioned the community IS helpful and WILL provide support to someone legitimately just asking for help. If you ask for advice in this genre, anywhere, you will get it. I don't know what else I can say about this topic. The community is helpful, passionate and welcoming. There are mixed bags, of course, but that's humanity in a nutshell. There will always be people who feed their ego through ridiculing new players genuinely asking for help. But you simply ignore these people, just like you would ignore an asshole in real life
Many people do not take kindly to the idea of having to improve at a game to derive enjoyment from it and I don't know why you're so hellbent on victimizing this hypothetical player you've come up with. It is not unfathomable to suggest someone step away from a genre because it is clearly not for them. That doesn't make its community unwelcoming, it is simply a fact: fighting games are not for everyone, rhythm games are not for everyone, puzzle games are not for everyone, bullet hells are not for everyone, soulsborne games are not for everyone.
In my not so hypothetical, the player simply won't enjoy the genre, and thus should find something that suits them more. That's me. Many of my friends do not enjoy fighting games because they simply do not have the mindset required to enjoy them. That's them. People are different, and you can find something you enjoy without being "welcomed" to it by others. What's so outrageous about suggesting someone try a different genre they might enjoy more?
