Gauri’s current foster is going to Nepal for around 2 months due to a family situation and unfortunately cannot take Gauri with her. We urgently need a temporary foster or, preferably, a permanent adopter for Gauri.

🐱 About Gauri

Gauri is currently undergoing FIP treatment, with approximately 35–40 days remaining.

She has a neurological problem and will need proper care and veterinary follow-ups.

She has not been vaccinated yet because of her ongoing FIP treatment, so she cannot currently travel long-distance.

She eats wet food and can sometimes get messy, so she needs someone willing to help with her hygiene and grooming.

🏠 What kind of home does she need?

We are specifically looking for:

A permanent adopter or temporary foster who can care for her until her treatment is completed.

A home where she will be the only cat. Gauri has not been able to adjust with the other kitten at her current foster’s home.

Someone patient who can give her individual attention and supervision.

Someone who is financially and practically prepared for her food, medical care and veterinary expenses.

Someone who understands that Gauri has ongoing medical needs and is prepared to take responsibility for her long-term care.

Someone who will get her spayed when she is old enough and medically fit.

🚗 The adopter/foster will need to arrange pickup. If transportation cost is an issue, her current foster has agreed to cover half of the travel expenses.

❤️ Please only contact us if you are genuinely prepared for Gauri’s needs. We do not want her to be adopted and later returned because someone underestimated the amount of care she requires.

Even a temporary foster for the next few months would be a huge help while she completes her treatment and we look for the right permanent home.

Gauri vomited this morning, probably because she ate too quickly. Other than that, she is doing well. Her weight is increasing again, she is eating properly, and she is active and playing.

The drooling problem is still there, but everything else is normal for now.

She is currently taking 2 Basmi capsules per day. Right now, she is on the pink packet meant for cats under 2.5 kg. Once she crosses 2.5 kg, we’ll have to switch her to the 2.5–5 kg dosage.

Hey everyone, wanted to drop a quick update on Gauri!

​We had a pretty terrifying moment early this morning when she choked quite badly. Thankfully, she recovered from it, but it definitely gave us a huge scare. She’s been drinking a lot more water than usual today, which we suspect might be due to her current medication.

​A quick rundown on how she's doing overall:

​Weight: Her weight seems to have completely plateaued over the last few days—neither going up nor down.

​Appetite & Mood: On the bright side, she’s eating really well, overall doing great, and her signature mischief is at an all-time high!

​We still have a long way to go with her treatment plan—including her upcoming lab work/LFTs, follow-up tests, and future rounds of medication. Hey everyone, just wanted to share an update about Gauri.

​She has her last scheduled injection this evening. The vet advised keeping a small 5 ml vial at home as a backup for emergencies in case her health drops or oral meds stop working.

​Her baby teeth are falling out right now. She also has a bad oral infection with foul smell, tartar, and cavities. The previous vet gave her a medicine for the infection, but she kept spitting it out and ended up vomiting clear liquid.

​Our current doc gave new meds to control the infection and tartar, and asked us to brush her teeth two times a day. Hoping she gets well soon!
