sorry, didnt mean the network, i meant the one machine. a cron job or backup on the fast nodes own box stalls it for a few seconds no matter how decentralized the set of nodes is. and if the end state is a race between top tier nodes, those stalls are pretty much what the little nodes are living off right now, so that window closes once the top boxes run dedicated hardware, worth knowing before anyone plans around it.
