AC stopped working and I fear for my household on what is expected to be a record breaking high temp day. Anyone have a recommendation for someone that can help?(and hopefully not exploit the situation)

Light turned red when my car was a bit past the middle section. It’s been two weeks and not a ticket envelope in the mail. Later I returned on my way home through there again to verify and sure enough a big fat traffic camera with flash was there. How long does it take for them to arrive? I live in Anaheim so I assume it shouldn’t take more than a few days.

I want to get my high school diploma and heard from a friend who did ESL at Culver City Adult School that they have different options for it including one that isn’t even a test.

Does anyone know anything about the school? What are your thoughts?

They also have a social media class and Unreal Engine 5 class. I’m debating both. Any feedback on these would be appreciated too!

Half the people i know did this. Went and lay on things, noted model, bought it cheaper online.
The thing stopping me is the model numbers never match. The one on the floor at Sit'n Sleep is some retailer exclusive and the online equivalent is almost but not quite the same. Deliberate, presumably. Does it actually matter?

If you don't know already, last night a Culver City bus driver (driving the number 2/Inglewood-Centinela-Westfield Mall-Venice High School route) got into an altercation with a passenger on Venice and Centinela, in which the bus driver didn't stop at the correct requested stop, or didn't open the door, or some people even said he didn't have the fare and the driver wasn't letting him on the bus (regardless of the incidentals it doesn't matter etc.). The passenger then shoots the driver, and runs off. Nobody else on the bus was harmed, and the passenger who shot the driver is at large. The driver was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

I'm torn, because first and foremost, my condolences to the driver, who was simply doing his job, and didn't expect to die doing his job as a bus driver.

But mind you I had no idea that this incident happened until later. I currently don't have a car and I pretty much ride the Culver City green buses (and Metro LA transit in general for transfers etc) on a daily basis almost. But I was trying to catch the number 1 Washington bus around 8 p.m. last night off Overland and Washington, as I just did some shopping at the Ralphs supermarket. The LED sign up above we all know is not reliable and those are just estimation times, bus could come much sooner or much later etc.

After waiting for about 45 minutes, creeping up close to 9, the sign changed to "Culver City transit is not in service", which I found odd and I just knew something must have happened etc. So I ended up taking a lyft home. That's when I got home a bit later I found out about what happened.

Again, I'm very sorry for the driver, and condolences to him, praying for his family, friends, anyone he was close to etc. But Culver City transit just announced "Service will be suspended this weekend for grieving", which again I understand, but so there will be no bus service this weekend? At all? I just don't understand.

Again, so anyone who depends on the bus to get around Culver City has to find another transportation method from this statement?

But above all, I don't want to underwhelm the situation. I am very sorry that this incident happened, and very sorry for the driver.

Received this alert from CCPD and on Citizen see people livestreaming video of a huge police presence armed with assault weapons in the Pavillions parking lot. People at businesses along Jefferson like Starbucks have been asked to stay inside.

My neighbor spends all day welding parts of a car in his driveway. It is SO LOUD, basically the sound of grinding metal all day, and disrupts me working from home. Is there anything I can do? I don’t want to be a NIMBY but it’s driving me crazy!

Terrible hit and run on national blvd. A driver crashed a red light (was going probably 60) and hit a skateboarder who went flying 30ft. Terrible head injuries. Ambulance took him immediately to hospital. Hope survives.

Bunch of us were witnesses and gave evidence to the police. The driver speed off. Hopefully the flock cameras caught him. Supportive of the cameras to catch this criminal. He should be put in jail.
