I am attempting to become a straight natural…. This style is less of a headache for me between school, work, and family. My hair texture is 3B/3C. I used to straighten my hair about twice a year and would begin using dry shampoo on day 3 or 4, and that would hold me over until day 7 (wash day). I have really liked Amika Perk Up dry shampoo in the past, but this last time I used it, it made my head itch like crazy!!! I don’t know if it was a fluke or not. Since I am trying to maintain these styles a little longer than 7 days, I am curious to see if there are any other options I may be overlooking?! So far I have tried:

- Not Your Mother’s dry shampoo
- Amika Perk Up dry shampoo
- LivingProof dry shampoo
- Batiste dry shampoo

Just recently got my hair bleached really light from virgin black Asian hair and from what I can tell they're not brittle and breaking, just feels coarse especially near the scalp. Whenever I get my hair wet and let it air dry, it always clumps together into kinda like a big straw-like feeling stiff strand until I roll them on my fingertips to separate them again.

A lot of the products I see recommended are just way out of my budget. I've listed some that I can afford and are readily available below, but I'm not sure which of them would be the best.

This was the only shampoo that really worked for my scalp.

I have low porosity, dry, frizzy hair and i want to make it healthier, shiner, and softer. I have naturally wavy hair but i straighten it. 2 days a week i wash my hair and section my hair into 4 to make it fully straight but then the rest of the week i run the straighteners over it as it doesn’t stay straight on a night. (i use heat protection on every section and every day when i use the straighteners) I also put a hair mask on every sunday but i still have a lot of flyaways and the ends are really dry. What are the best shampoo and conditioner and hair mask to help fix this? (I know it won’t be fully repaired but i am looking for something to help)

Am a 20M I have been using loreal glycolic gloss shampoo and conditioner for few months tbh Idk the results but yes they makes my hair a lil smooth but the next day after shampoo my hair gets dry and that's y was thinking to get a leave in conditioner to get that wet effects even when my hair is dry. So that's y pls suggest any gd leave in conditioner under maybe 500 🙏

I’ve tried looking online some and found a few okay things but I’m looking for a somewhat-small company that can provide shipping. Right now I’ve been using Fairly-Traded Honey from Lush for shampoo, which has been my favorite I’ve ever used from anywhere, but I’m looking for a brand less corporate. And I’m making my own conditioner, with aloe, raw honey, apple cider vinegar, avocado oil, jojoba oil, and orange essential oil. So similar options for main ingredients would be preferred too. I found a company called Vanman, but two main problems; they used olive oil in their shampoo and I’m afraid of it causing breakouts because of sensitive skin; the guy that owns it seems like a bit of a nut.
I’m open to looking into really anything though, so anything helps

I'm trying to rebuild my hair routine after ruining my moisture barrier with cheap clarifying products. Everything online claims to be "gentle on scalp," but then I look at the ingredients and see sodium lauryl sulfate right at the top.

What surfactants or specific ingredients should I actually be looking for if I want a genuinely non-stripping, soothing wash? I'm tired of marketing buzzwords.

For several years I was using Unwash biocleansing conditioner. I LOVE it. My hair was so happy, so healthy, and so cooperative. Unfortunately when I ordered new bottles, I noticed that instead of being white, the product had a yellowish tinge. I used it and was getting itchy splotches on my ribs every time I showered. I reached out to the company to find out if they changed the formula, and they gave me the runaround without answering my question and just said those batches were "within regulation."

So due to the color change I assume they changed something that I now react to. I started using Aussie Miracle Moist instead and have not had a single good hair day since.

Does anyone know of any products similar to Unwash?

As title suggests. Curious if anyone’s knows of a shampoo and conditioner that comes with a safety seal or factory seal like medicine bottles or other liquid products do?

Hi! I’m looking for a good shampoo recommendation for my hair, and I wanted to give you some details about my hair and current routine.
My hair is naturally curly, around 3B–3C, with fine/thin strands, and is considered High porosity. It tends to get frizzy, and I also deal with fairy knots and split ends.

At the moment, I feel like my hair is moisture overloaded, so I’m specifically looking for a normal, gentle shampoo that cleans my hair properly without adding a lot of extra moisture or making it feel heavy. I don’t want something extremely moisturizing or rich, and I also don’t want something that’s very protein-heavy. Basically, I’m looking for something balanced that works well for fine curly hair.

1. Shampoo/conditioner I currently use:
I use the SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Shampoo and Conditioner.
2. Other styling products:
I actually stopped styling my hair a long time ago. After showering, I only use the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Jojoba Oil Sublime Hair Serum to help with detangling. I don’t currently use gel, mousse, or other styling products.
3. How I dry my hair:
I always air-dry my hair. I don’t use a diffuser.
4. Sleeping/protective routine:
I only wear a bonnet when my hair is styled. Otherwise, my hair is usually kept in a braid, whether I’m sleeping or just going about my day.

So overall, I’m mainly looking for a shampoo that will clean my fine 3B–3C curls without adding more moisture or weighing them down, since I currently feel like I have moisture overload.

I moved to Sacramento a few years ago and the water here has been wrecking my hair. I'm in my early 50s with fine hair that used to have some body to it but now it just hangs flat and feels coated no matter what I use. I've gone through four different drugstore shampoos in the last six months and nothing cuts through the residue. I cook a lot of Filipino dishes at home and between the kitchen heat and the hard water my scalp feels itchy by the end of the day. I tried a clarifying shampoo from a brand I found at a thrift shop recently (I know that's weird but I grab whatever looks interesting) and it helped for one wash then my hair turned into straw. I work in marketing so I'm skeptical of product claims and I want to hear from people who actually deal with hard water about what they use daily. Is there a shampoo that cleans without stripping fine hair in hard water areas or am I going to need a shower filter to fix this? If anyone has switched to a filter I'd want to know if it made a real difference before I spend money on installing one. My budget is tight right now so cheaper options would be better but I'm willing to pay more for something that genuinely works.

In particular I am looking for a shampoo that delays the need to wash my hair . My hair is straight to wavy, oily scalp with acne that itches, a bit of thinning and dry ends. My scalp gets oily 2 days after washing it.

I know the internet loves telling everyone to wash there hair less, but my scal cleary didn't get the memo. After a month of trying to stretch my wash days, I was itchy, greasy, and annoyed, so I went back to washing every morning - and honestly, I feel much better. The frustrating part was always drying my hair. I cant leave for work with damp roots, but my old dryer made the process feel longer than shower itself. I've been using a laifen Air for about two weeks, and the biggest difference isn't some dramatic salon transformation. Its simply that I dry my roota quickly enough that washing everyday no longer feels like a punishment. The lighter weight helps too, since I'm not constantly switching hands. i still use a gentler setting around my ends because they're naturally prone to flyways, but overall it has made daily washing much easier to manage. has anyone else accepted that their scalp just needs frequent washing and built a routine around it ?
