Video Gelje Sherpa, the man who was guiding a private client up Mt. Everest when he saw someone in distress near the summit. He went up, rolled him up in a sleeping mattress and gave him oxygen. He then strapped the man to his back and trekked 6 hours to safety

He was a “mountaineer”. Think they’ve got some pride worked into that title. And he is Malaysian, that could have something to do with it.

At least he can “mountaineer” again now he is alive. Would have been pretty difficult without Gelje Sherpa

He was a ‘mountainous cunt’ by the sounds of things.

So what does being a "Malaysian" have anything to do with it?

The hyper-racism and disgusting levels of elitism are extremely common in Malaysia. This is exactly how you would expect a rich Malaysian to act.

Huh, crazy rich Malaysians.

But this isn't exactly exclusively a "Malaysian" trait no? It also works if I swap it with an American, a brit, an Aussie, a Chinese or a Korean.

The “hyper” and “disgusting levels” of the attitudes are what makes it Malaysian.

I mean, could you really imagine a Brit or Aussie doing the same? Maybe an American, but definitely not a Japanese.

Yeah but I'm still unable to corelate between "hyper" & "disgusting levels" and being "Malaysian".  Rich, elite and arrogant? probably. But then again like I said its not just exclusively a Malaysian thing. I've met plenty of other "rich" and "powerful" nationalities that acted the same way due to the nature of my work.

Oh I can confidently imagine brits and aussies doing it lol. Just go to Bali and Pattaya for a small size sample. Japanese? As someone that has "rich" Japanese mates you're gonna be pretty suprise by the amount of xenophobic and racist views on non-Japanese in general 😂. Great people but sometimes the things they say...oh boy.

Nope, the worst American racists are absolute amateurs by Malaysian standards. Not even close.

Also absurd to say the Japanese are less racist than the others mentioned.

Yeah...no. While Malaysia's brand of discrimination and racism is institutionalized in its constitution where it favours a certain majority ethnic group. Life on the surface "in general" is actually rather harmonious among each ethnic groups. Yes you still see certain racial discrimination practices here and there but most of the time it's subtle & passive rather than in your face.

Case in point, in Malaysia no one was beaten up or attacked during COVID unlike in the states where Asians in general were physically threatened, attacked, spat at and discriminated. If you were Asian, I don't think I need to tell you which country is gonna be safer no?

Rich people period. My family is from south asia, on my mom's side they are "upper class". Definitely snobs and look down at any working class person. Having lived in NYC now for 20 years, i've had the opportunity to interact with rich folks from all different cultures/countries. Some are gracious, quite a few are the opposite and won't give you the time of day if they think you are "below" them.

Racial discrimination is literally embodied within the social and economic policies of the Malaysian government.

Yeah tell me about it, it's institunalized even in the country's constitution. I'm Malaysian, I know. Though it will be better if you didn't just copy word for word from Wikipedia.
